Will my doctors or phyc get notified by ER from OD

I was taken to ER in ambo after blowing out on some GHB. They thought at first it was suicide. Now here my question will my GP's and my phyc be notified. They also took all my drugs off me even ones scripted to me. Said i have to go to cops to get it back. They also said doctor cant script midazolam but it was scripted it and had it a vial in my pocket.

Also while there they wanted to sedate me with either midaz or some anti-phycotic. Does anyone know what one? It was IV and its wasn't seroquel.

It took some convincing that it wasn't a suicide fucking doctors dont understand GHB.

Get your scripts and go to the cops to get them back.

They might notify your GP of the situation, it is up to the doctors discretion I believe.

Also midazolam can be scripted, that is ridiculous.

Please check your post for grammatical errors before posting again, my brains ODing trying to decypher your god damn post.

If everything is scripted as you say, grab aforementioned scripts and head to the coppers.

The casualty department MAY notify your GP and/or psych. As mentioned before, they look at it on a case by case basis. I would say, from your description of the situation, they will inform one or both.

Take care my friend.

I think whether they notify your GP / Psych or not, it will probably still go down in your Med History so the next time your GP / Psych looks you up, they may notice it. Well actually, what country are you located in? I only speak of the U.S. <-- [EDIT] – I'm retarded, ignore that last sentence.

Australian drug discussion - one would assume we are in Australia LOL

=D Ahhaha, my apologies, I've been speeding through the morning on way too much coffee. I just opened the thread from a 'New Posts' search and didn't even check the forum / location.

Yeah I just worried they will tell one doctor that I had these scripts from another doctor..... eg. doc shopper who is on multiple drugs of abuse.
Anyone got any Idea on the anti-psychotic med they wanted to sedate me with? They said you can be sedated with either midaz or this anti-phyc.
It was all so dodgy they didn't even take my blood to see what drugs i was on. Just robbed me of meds in my pockets while asleep.
Sorry about the gramma/spelling I haven't slept properly in a few days.

^ There is a heap of antipsychotics they could have used, it's pretty pointless to speculate about.

If you were doctor shopping you might be in trouble now. As in losing those scripts, one because of the situation you got into and secondly because you haven't informed your prescribing doctors that you are receiving scripts from two different prescribers.

But can they look up all the meds i got or just the ones i was found with? I got pretty good excuse. I never got too many to get on doc shop list. I was found with stuff from only 2 diff docs a GP and phyc.

It sucked so bad I didn't want any benzos for them to sedate me with but it was either this 1 anti-phycotic or midaz. They had to use soo much midaz to sedate me which gave me such a bad comedown the next day. Lucky I didn't have the ant-iphyc because I would probably be in looney bin now.

Hospitals are excellent in terms of "losing" (if you wanna call it that) medications.
They lost around 40 0.5mg Alprazolam/Xanax tablets when I was seen a while back.

Doctors can ring a phone number and receive a list of all prescriptions that have been filled in the last 3 months.

Edit: Yeah, I think you're right actually - you need to be identified first.

Yeah don't take any meds to hospital with you. I was thinking better take heaps in case I cant sleep or they wont give me anything. Stupid idea.
I was honestly thinking as I read on and on why the hell did you still have the drugs on you in the first place? Now I know. For future reference if you are called into court or the police station also not a good idea to bring any with you.

Also I'm pretty sure this hasn't been said yet which is surprising but why not ask a lawyer?

I've been to the ER on occasion for drug related mishaps and never had my usual GP notified. In fact I've never even been asked for their name - I've been asked if I'm getting any drug treatment but when I've said I see a drug counseller I've never been asked to identify them. Did you ever tell them at all who your doctor was...?

I think your main problem will come with being diagnosed as an attempted suicide, as that can remove a lot of your rights; and the drugs you were carrying. If you've been doctor shopping that makes it a lot more risky I'd guess. Otherwise you could have just told your doc what had happened and I think it'd probably be easy to get your meds back, or at least get new scripts.

I did a quick search on the usual treatment for GHB overdose and it seems the anticholinergic/deliriant atropine is sometimes used to combat the very slow heartbeart that can be a dangerous effect of GHB OD. I would have thought they'd have to tell you what they had given you if you had asked....?
