i am also very interested in learning how to maximize me ability to remeber and have vivid dreams.

you have to tell yourself (while your laying in bed) that your going into sleep, you are going to dream, and then when u fall asleep, you have to find a way to snap to it and say i am dreaming right now, and when your in a dream, and realize your dreaming, that is when you gain the control to do whatever you please. i have only done it a couple times, its very hard to do, and get use to.

try to look down at your hand consciously next time your dreaming. It may take years....
but this is the first step

Yeah but a lot of times when I'm nodding (just assuming that I'm not special on this), I tend to have a lot of strange short dreams. Especially when I first got on MMT and my body wasnt tolerant to opiates anymore (i was 39 days abstinent from everything). I would nod hard as fuck for a few hours and be having crazy dreams for almost all of it. Its a lot like when you are almost falling asleep at night and you start to get really tired and having strange thoughts and experiences in your head, that state of mind right before you fall fully asleep. Its very similar to nodding out, LOL

I crazy nodded when I started methadone in rehab. I had been about 25 days clean and they started me on 30mg and at that little of a dose I was nodding out for like 8 hours. Then they moved me up to 40mg the following day and I felt just as good. It was great, I was in a dream like state nearly the entire stint in rehab. That and they were giving me 20mg of Valium every 4 hours. I'm sure that helped.

Tickle my pickle, the endeavour to lucid dream is indeed beneficial! It has a positive effect on your daily mental state.

I have found myself in lucid dreams countless times (maybe 10/15) in my life but never managed to control them, well apart from one aspect. I HAVE commanded myself to LOOK AT MY HANDS in a dream, the moment i realized i was dreaming, i looked at my hands.

I think in doing this somehow you take a big step in teaching yourself the way of lucid dreaming.

However i've never managed to, say, control the environment i was in during a dream, THAT would be odd.

In my experience Gingko Biloba has brought on some lucid dreams, not intentionally either so no placebo bubba. I'm not one of those vegan-herbalist types who says "yeah gingko, give it a try, wheatgrass, give it a try". Y'know. I was taking the Gingko for aiding concentration (coffee is way better) however one odd effect was at night i was having the clearest dreams.

I'll check back if anything else comes to mind : )

I think, as someone else mentioned, melatonin is useful for inducing lucid dreams, as is one of the b vitamins, sorry for not being more precise but I'm exhausted and too lazy to look it up :| but taking a vitamin B complex might help with things, especially if you cannot get access to melatonin (depending on where you live it may not be available, I know here in the UK it is banned).

Also, working on remembering your dreams can help, as if you forget them quickly (i.e. shortly after you wake up) then you may have had a lucid dream and simply not remember it, which surely would be pretty pointless. If you keep a dream diary it can help with dream recall, simply remember and write down as many details of the dream you just had as soon as you wake up, you will find you remember more as you practice.

good luck, cus if you have one and can control it, they can be pretty freaking awesome :)

Smoking a small amount of unenhanced salvia leaf before going to bed causes very vivid, bizarre dreams. It also increases my chance of lucid dreaming a good 10 fold. The majority of my lucid dreaming experiences have been after smoking salvia. I know its not exactly scientific, but I believe that by virtue of their abstract, unreal nature, you are more likely to realize you're dreaming...

also, microdoses of datura.
no more than 3-5 seeds and you will be well on your way to dreaming lucidly.
Beware of repetition though, datura will build up a weird tolerance even if you are doing 3 seeds every night and eventually you could unknowingly build up enough atropine to become poisoned, sick and/or hallucinate.

eating loads of cheese helps also orange juice take this before you sleep and it apparently increases your chances.
