Healthy munchies - what chu be eatin dogg

Do you pig out when you're stoned?

If you're anything like me, you are a disgusting fat fuck when you're baked. I'll have taquitos in the oven cooking while im microwaving a hot pocket and at the same time fixing myself a sandwich and eating a bowl of Sugary Crunch. Don't forget the chips, cookies, ice cream, and fruit snacks. I'm a fuvking mutant abomination just kill me now god damn it!!

Why? Why does this happen to me? Why am i overcome by such ravenous demons every time i get high? Is my stomach paying me back for all those years of poverse living conditions and ramen noodles?

Somebody just please help me. Give me good healthy munchies

or if i'm mixing weed + gaba herbs i'll use a chamomile lemon balm hibiscus tea
 
This is a real problem for me. How can I avoid temptation to pig out?

It doesn't matter if I've only got healthy food. If I'm stoned, that's it, pretty much the whole contents of the fridge will disappear overnight and at the end of the day, a calorie is a calorie, whether it's hamburgers or skinless grilled chicken breast. I'm almost thinking of getting my stomach stapled =D

I've tried filling my stomach with water but then I usually spend half the night unable to sleep because I keep having to go to the toilet or I just piss myself whilst I'm asleep. I've tried eating foods high on the satiety index which should fill me up, but it doesn't make a difference. I wish there was some sort of non-stimulating appetite suppressant.
 
My girlfriend is in the process of converting me to vegatarianism, she's vegan and says meat is killing me. I agree, as I've stopped eating fast food, and I'm alot healthier (mind you, I only weigh 120lbs) I've eaten fast food most of my life, its not a good thing. Now when stoner I reach for crazy sounding shit like seitan jerky (thai peanut is the best flavor imo, fuckin tasty) I used to eat beef jerky alot, now i can't stand the shit compared to seitan jerky.

but this is a problem I also face when high.
Its all about will power, but honestly there is just a certain point at which you do not care about what you eat.. you just need something to fucking fill that bottomless pit of a stomach.

last night I was able to get away with just eating 2 bowls of soup, BUT i didnt smoke nearly as much I usually do...

Keeping healthy snacks around is the key, if your entire fridge is filled with only things that are healthy, you dont really have too much of a problem when you're so fucking stoned you dont want to move to get anything.

Fruits are AMAZING, because.. I mean.. its candy... basically... rofl. To me anyways.
Veggies are a must to have on hand, because for 1. Health wise there is almost nothing else that can compare to the benefits of eating raw or cooked veggies. But I dont like veggies you say?
They taste like poooopieee!! NO mama!! I dont want em!!!!
STFU, cover them in hot sauce or salt and pepper, or vinegar and olive oil.
Sautee them, cook them, whatever. Just get em in.

Oh, the added benefit of eating RAW veggies, dipping them in something like olive oil or just salt and pepper is that they are extremely filling..
The water content.. the fiber slows digestion.. it all works to keep you filled up.



Also, I wasnt going to say anything, but since Newbierock, did I will as well.

But dont pass judgement on meat just yet. there is definitely an overconsumption of meat in todays society, that much is true, but I've never understood the reasons for going the completel opposite direction. It doesnt even make sense health wise.

^Actually it was the nitrates, theyre bad for my heart (I already have an irregular heartbeat, sucks) I like tofu based stuff, it tastes better than most of the garbage on the market they call food (high fructose corn syrup anyone?) High fructose corn syrup is in everything on the market these days (all sodas, snacks, even in meat as a flavor enhancer, by that I mean the kinda meat at the butcher or grocery store, beef chicken pork, its all there)
I'm trying to get used to vegan hotwings, there not the same but thats cuz I need to find the best wing sauce recipe=D If ya don't understand, then just enjoy what you eat, I used to, then I found there was better food out there
 
^Nitrates are only in processed meats. Meaning sausages, cold cuts, hot dogs, hamburgers, and ham. If you can steer clear of those and avoid over consumption, there is absolutely nothing wrong with meat.
 
Yogurt, fresh fruit like tangerines/oranges-apples and bananas with peanut butter on them are good, dried fruit, green tea/herbal tea/black tea, coffee, yerba mate, water, celery/carrots/tomatoes, raw spinach leaves, cut up red peppers, nuts like almonds/cashews/walnuts, brown rice/wild rice, tuna and other types of fish, and bread full of grains not white bread.

Monkeybizness mentioned smoothies they're very easy to make with fresh fruit, a small amount of ice, some fruit juice, and a blender.

Also resist the temptation to always order takeout food like pizza/Chinese food or other types of it when you smoke.

Or if you eat fast food-I haven't in years-don't eat it all the time when you smoke.

You can make pizza yourself but put lots of fresh tomatoes on it and other vegetables and a small amount of cheese.

Um yeah so I wasn't even going to post in this thread really until I saw this. So actually I have an irregular heart beat but my doc said that an irregular heart beat=nothing. Are there things which are dangerous to people with hearts like us?
 
Smoking weed actually makes me not want to eat for hours.
Very odd, I know.
But when I finally do eat, I make huge pots of soup with beans (lentils, often) and vegetables.
I like to put chipotle chilis in , or spicy sesame oil, and nutritional yeast, and black pepper.
I can eat several huge bowls of this stuff after "fasting" for 4 hours while high.
 
make wholesome kinda snacks? e.g. flapjacks

you can use brown sugar and flapjacks are mostly just oats anyway; which is a wholewheat which slows sugar release down

use extra cinammon instead of extra sugar for flavour

or try making a healthy kind of banana ice cream or something beforehand (add cocoa powder and cream, bit of vanilla extract, then churn it with some sort of electric machine)
 
My favorite healthy munchies are fruit (grapes, cherries, tangerines, juicy apples = YUM), low-calorie broth-based soups, air-popped popcorn with a touch of butter, non-fat yogurt.

Every once in a while when I smoke though, I go out of control.. Downing tubs of hummus, containers of ice cream, bags of chips.

ie. I once ate (I kid you not, this is a conservative estimate) 6,000 calories in 3 hours. I weigh 140 lbs.
 
One time a came home with an eighth of some REALLY good bud, and 2 boxes of pop tarts. I inhaled a huge ass hit and the next thing I remember is that there was only half a box left. I'd eaten 1.5 boxes (that's like 18 or something). I must have had the munchies pretty badly.

Other than that I drink a fuckton of water when I'm messed up for some reason. I don't really eat anything healthy, maybe an orange every once in a while but that's about it.
 
Try and eat a healthy meal before smoking, Ive noticed this really helps against the munchies. But like you said fast food? Not only is it bad but you can eat tons of it and feel hungry again in like what 1-2 hours max?
