I'm on Oxycodine 10mg extended release for chronic pain. I went into the doctor this week to get a new prescription, went to the family pharmacy and got it filled.... Whaddaya know ether my doc screwed up or the pharmacist did because rather than getting 30 10mg OxyContins I got 30 10mg Oxycodine instant release (pink pill with "K|56" on one side).

Now what the hell do I do????

lol take all the pills, od, wake up in hospital an sue the doc, then get whatev u want lol

If you tell your dr you appear to be very honest and it would look super good on your part. Then the dr won't think twice about upping your dose should you need it. Yea roxis are nice but if you're this honest with the dr he will trust you...

Tell him you took one and you noticed something different. Even say it helped greatly for your pain and you could EASILY have better than 10mg oc's 3 times a day. The dr will likely let you keep the script and rewrite your regular script.

If you're not honest you'll run out early and be fucked. I'd rather have the trust of my dr and the keys to the candy shop than little bit of fun. Work smarter not harder.

Defiantly agree with the post above. Do you really just want the fish rather then the fishing rod ?

You can break the pill into pieces, and dose the smaller pieces as needed. This way you are mimicking the extended release.

Edit: I think that taking 1/4 pill every 3 hours should do this.

My friend does this with his 30 mg Roxis. He chops them up in 4's & takes them threw out the day which is 7.5 mgs at a time. At the begining, he would nod on 7.5 mgs.

Actually to mimic the time release, you would want to take half at once then a quarter, and a quarter.

It's possible that the pharmacist made the mistake and not your Dr. the only thing that sucks is it's easy to run out of IR's alot faster then XR's.
