Weight..

Thanks Voxide. & the harshness is what she needs to hear. I can't stop her from doing what she wants, but I can certainly make her aware of the risks. I might even get a group together or something to work out & eat right with her. Thanks!

In short, simple terms, do cardio, eat lean meats and vegetables, eat about 1400 calories per day, stay hydrated, sleep 7+hrs each night, drink a cup of coffee in the morning. Done.
Superstitious nonsense. The preferred method of weight loss is 250 mgs IV meth amphetamine q.i.d. with freebase cocaine for breakthrough hunger.

wouldn't that mess her up? she has never really done drugs before..
It messed me up, and I'd done tons of drugs before, so I'm guessing yeah. Which doesn't mean it wouldn't be a far better diet than heroin. I look at an empty baggie of meth I lose 5 pounds.

I believe fryingsquirrel was being sarcastic & not actually advocating what he stated. :)

So meth is better than heroin for weight loss, but she would get addicted to meth just the same? I don't think she would even be able to find meth

Addiction is certainly possible, likely even. WD's are nothing like heroin or other opiates, or even benzos like xanax, but certainly it's addictive. That's the price you pay for doing addictive drugs.

Very true.
All in all I'd say that using an addictive drug such as any of the ones mentioned for weight loss will be counter productive in the long run.
Addiction far outweighs any benefits that would be gained from weight loss.
As well as the fact that in most cases that I've seen upon discontinuation of said drugs the weight will just return as rebound weight gain.

You may wish to try the Healthy Living forum as proper diet & exercise will be much more beneficial for losing weight & keeping it off.

It's just way too easy of a goal to resort to doing something so drastic. It isn't worth the money or the health risks. I don't really see heroin having very much weight loss potential anyway. The weight loss that opiate addicts suffer isn't because of the drug itself, but the whole lifestyle of being addicted. Most of the time you're too busy on finding another shot and you really can't be bothered with eating a decent meal. However, the thought of eating food while on meth will make pretty much anyone nauseated. The point here isn't to stop eating food, it's to eat healthier food. There isn't a drug on this planet that will make you motivated to do that.

methylphenidate man. You're forgetting the methylphenidate. Combine them all in the same rig for best results. %)

Probably, since it's a stimulant which shoots cortisol levels through the roof, which leads to rapid breakdown of muscle tissue. (Caffeine can also do this, don't use more than 300mg/day for weight loss goals.) Muscle tissue isn't what you want to lose though, which is the entire point of staying far away from fasting and drugs.

she would only lose muscle tissue from drugs??

Mostly. Drugs have a pretty funny way of working within someone's body. She'll do meth and probably lose a decent amount of weight, but it'll probably make her fatter in the long run. Just like heavy coke use will eventually make fatigue even worse down the road. Which is why it's a better idea never to self-medicate and assume you know more than a doctor. Like I said before, they're for recreational use among responsible and educated individuals, not people who are so bored that they need to seek out every imperfection in their body and try to cure it using cut-to-shit street drugs.

The problem is more she wouldn't likely stop doing meth. There's a reason things are addictive-Because they feel really fucking good.

Even if she manages to slip through the grip and not be addicted, all of that weight would simply fly back on after she stopped. After your metabolism has been raised to unnatural levels, your thyroid would rebound and try to compensate by shutting itself off until balance is maintained. The same thing happens when steroids aren't used properly. With proper precautions, you can keep some of your gains, but nothing will be permanent.

It's not worth the time, money, or the health just because she doesn't feel like exercising. Make sure you tell her that.

you should never use a drug like heroin for weight loss. ive lost 75lbs in the past year because of my opiate addiction, and i look extremely unhealthy compared to someone who worked out and ate right.

my metabolism has permanently changed because of it. i get high as hell everyday and munch down and yet i STILL lose weight. of course, thats just me haha..

I lost a ton of weight from opiates. But it's not something I would suggest doing unless you want a habit. Granted I am in pain management, I lost the weight from having my kid... but not a path I would have chosen it just kind of happened.

Talk to your friend about healthier ways to lose weight.. One way I kicked started weight loss is vitamin B12 injections and the slimfast diet for 2 months. Dropped 30lbs that way.
