Apologies if this is a repost, but was just wondering if anyone else had tried this liquid based alcohol like chemical, or any one had heard much about it?

2-Methyl-2-butanol

It is also known as 2M2B i believe
 
It tastes awful, really bad, irrespective of how much you dilute it and if you like to drink for the taste then it's no substitute for some decent beer, wine or whisky.

That said, I tried some a couple of times recently and in one situation found it useful when I was off to the pub to meet some mates and they'd already been drinking a while and had a two hour head start on me. Normally I'd be downing the pints getting bloated trying to catch up but I boshed 10ml of 2-methyl-2-butanol in some lemonade just before i left home and by the time I got to the pub 10 mins later I was basically "pissed" and had caught up =D it hits you fast.

It does feel a little different to normal alcohol but its broadly in the same zone effects wise..

I received a sample from one of the official benzo fury vendors.
I've mixed 5 ml with juice and drink it like it was cocktail. Effects are similar to alcohol but definitely there's little or no hangover next day. Nice think about this is that it hits you really quick :)
I see some future in this chemical ... Maybe some kind of 2M2B Beer :D

GHB was drinking without hangover, I imagine this will go in exactly the same direction now the pill peddlers have got hold of it.
Seems to me like the real difference for users is that GHB is used as a medicine and has had a number of studies performed. 2M2B has no such luck, although the lack of a hangover is promising.
 
I quite liked this.

Calming, sedating, long lasting, no hangover.

It's not as euphoric as gbl, but it's better than alcohol. That said I wouldn't feel up for going to a pub or bar on it, I'd rather just crash on the sofa. :)
 
I like the taste of beer and enjoy drinking loads of it, don't see myself switching to those hangover-less alternatives any time soon, it could be interesting if they do catch up though.
 
has anyone found drug interactions. I'v ordered 30ml but am on 800mg of seroquel xr and 3mg clonazopam. Maybe do a small dose first
 
^ I've never used this stuff but extrapolating from combining GBL with benzos it wouldn't seem like a wise combo - if anything they tend to cancel each other out and repiratory depression may well be an issue too especially with a fairly high dose of an antipsychotic in the mix. I would tread with great caution if I were you...

Personally I would avoid, if you do choose to experiment extreme caution. 800mg seroquel is a high dose, never mind the rest.
 
Would drinking it un-diluted harm you in any way, I can't stand it mixed in a drink, I just can't stand the taste of it. As soon as it touches my lips I begin to gip. But I reckon I could shot it, just worried of it really burning my throat.
 
drinking with no hangover? amazing! does it fuck your sleep up like alcohol?

sounds interesting anyway, will be keeping my eye out for more info.
 
This sounds shit IMO. Stick to the tasty tried & tested Ciders or some nice Beer.. The odd spirits but fuck your RC alcohols, lol!
 
Drinking something that tastes like shit to get a drunken feeling. When you can taste something that tastes sexy and get drunk. No brainer mang.
 
Alcohol is gash anyway. Why you'd want something similar from a grey-area seller when you can bag a 20pack from Tesco's for a tenner is beyond me.

Not everyone likes the tastes of certain drinks, especially cheap beer/cider. The thought of having to down 10 cans or bottles of either of those just to get a bit drunk sounds pretty nasty to me.

Or with 2m2b (or much better yet, gbl) you can have a few mil with half a glass of orange juice & then just wait a bit for a better high & no hangover.
 
Would you say the buzz was more like booze or GBL, Feste? If it's just a crappier version of GBL like I thought I probably won't go out of my way to acquire any cos I like GBL so this would only be worth it if it's either dirt cheap or more interesting than just something legal to fill the Guice gap that's a bit pointless if you can still get G.
 
Most similar to alcohol for me, although more sedating - it's actually pretty hard not to take a nap a couple of hours in, but not in the knock out style of gbl.

It was worth a try for me, but I'll stick to gbl.

It'll be great for stim come downs though.
