I had mine setup perfect but I hit the 50 degrees button on accident and can't remember what I had it set on in Celcius before.

Anyone else who has one or knows in general could you please help me out guys?

When one considers that there are at least 60 pharmacologically-active compounds in cannabis and that the aromatic terpenoids begin to vaporize at 126°C [258.8°F], but the more bio-active cannabidiol (CBD), Cannabinol (CBN), and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) do not vaporize until near their respective flash points: CBD 206.3°C [403.3°F],[6] CBN 212.7°C [414.9°F],[7] THC 149.3°C[8] [300.7°F] then it becomes apparent that the only way to get a full spectrum vapor inhalation is to extract and deliver rapidly from a small sample at a time. Because most commercial vaporizers are slow in extraction and delivery, the vapor inhaled is first aromatic, but only minimally active; and then as the plant material temperature rises, the vapor becomes increasingly bio-active, but minimally aromatic, because most of the aromatics have already been released.......

So, like 240-370 F sounds about right, so 170-205C dependent upon unit... your temp gauge could be highly inaccurate too and only read the whip.

I have one . (awsome choice of vape btw ;-P )

if I'm filling bags I usually put it at 185 celcius

and for whip 185-195 celcius

Depends on what kind of high you want really. To get the couch lock type high the temp is going to need to be pretty high, 400-430 is what it takes to get all the compounds, or you can set it lower, and you will get mostly thc and get more of a mental high, if you do that, you can use the pot after you vap it to cook with and make some kick ass brownies that will knock you on your ass as they will consist mostly of CBD,CBC,CBN and little to no thc

185 C usually.

As long as you head up the bowl up somewhat before you pack it, and turn on the fan while taking drags for the first 3-5 hits so the heat gets distributed faster.

I've also found slow gentle drags to produce more vapor.

The type of high is based on the strain of weed .
The only active compound is THC.

I wish the vape had settings like I have to be productive or I want to watch the inside of my eyelids or blast off or...

While when smoking thats true since the temp of a burning joint is high enough to release everything, with your average vaporizer, they dont reach high enough temps to get all the sedative/anti-anxiety cannabinoids. With a vaporizer what temperature you set it too 100 percent affects the high, a lower temp with pick up THC, maybe a few other non psycoactive canabbanoids which gives you the clearheaded mental high that sativas do, A higher temp, especially temps 400 and above where you get all the active cannabinoids will give you much more of the couchlock type feeling. You could just the most potent indica based strain you can find in a vaporizer, and if your temp isnt high enough, its going to give you the clearheaded sativa high. Also THCV which is a euphoriant doesnt vap till over 400 either.
Anyone intested in the effects off all the different things in cannabis and what temp you need to set your vp at should check out this thread http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=543218

And THC is far from the only active substance in cannabis, THCV is also pychactive, and then there is a huge list of others that while not psycoactive are certainly active and play a huge role in shpping the high. Examples would be CBD, CBN, a bunch of terpenoid essential oils some of which have sedative effects some have stimulant, among tons of other effects. If THC were the only active compound there would be no difference between the high of an indica or sativa high. THC makes up the main mental effects, the tons of others are what adds to and changes the highs of each strains.

TL/DR= When smoking thats correct that strain type is the only influencing factor, but with vaporizing the temperature is just as important, and there are tons and tons of other active compounds in pot.
