Sorry, I probably should have described my past experiences in my first post.
Amanitas were my first recreational/spiritual/whatever drug after salvia. This was a few years ago when I was first starting to explore what was out there. I wanted to sample the legal stuff before I got into anything else.
Had amanitas, in 2-8g doses, probably ten times before the rave. With that amount, I never even got nauseated. 8g will make me a bit confused sometimes, but not terribly so. I've never eaten an ounce as described in that link above, and would never do that at a rave. I'm fairly responsible with my use- I never really ever go overboard.
The worst I've ever done is drank 2 beers with 2mg Xanax. (I know it's silly to drink on them.)
Also, I forgot where I read this, but combining an NMDA receptor antagonist with a benzo creates the (animal) anesthetic Telazol. There was an Erowid report with alprazolam and K titled "telazol analogue" or something of that nature. True, side effects include decreased respiration. But at low(er) doses (i.e. 2mg alprazolam and 50mg ketamine), it doesn't seem like this combo is terrible. I also read somewhere that it decreases neurotoxicity in that it inhibits olney's lesion formation. However, I don't really know enough about neuroscience yet to say for sure.
