Friend with Acetominophen overdose

^ Exactly right n3o. Wow, very lucky. Hopefully maybe your friend is evaluated by a psychiatrist while in the hospital or something? I once was a couple of years ago after attempting to kill myself with a benzo/alcohol overdose, and after being evaluated I slowly started to get better. I don't think there are many people out there that beleive they can consume that amount of any tablet without the consequence of poisoning, overdose, damage, etc.
 
Either you tell her family or the hospital, or feel personally responsible when she dies. Your choice.
Edit: didn't read ahead; I'm glad she's made the smart decision.
 
yeah it's not like she doesn't "think" or if I get "sick" or even "I'll tell her", YOu need to go over there snatch her skinny ass up and force her to the hospital NOW, if what your saying is true and she really took that much then it is possibly already too late, you take her NOW, when she gets sick it's too late there is nothing they can do for her, but let her die a slow painful death. GET OVER THERE and MAKE HER GO, I hate when people sit by and let others do dumb shit, like "oh I told her she should go" I sent a text", NO muthafucka, GO NOW AND PICK HER ASS UP CARRY HER KICKING AND SCREAMING IF NEED BE AND MAKE HER GO NOW!! what are you still reading for GO!!!

wow dude get a grip, shes been in the ER for quite some time now.
 
well ive talked ot her a bit today all her nausea has passed, shes done over 24 hours of the antidote 24 hours left to go,

her nausea stoped, but she got a migrane which the tried to treat with codeien...ironic?

the doctors seem to think everything is going well, but i imagine, they'll know the true extent of the liver damage after they are done administering the antidote,

thanks once again bluelight, im glad everything turned out better then it could have
 
A liver function test will give a clearer picture, im sure I am not alone in wanting, that if she does get a LFT please post up some details here, so we can know if she is ok

it sounds promising at the moment, im sure they will tell her to go easy for a while as she should,
Chloe Jones had attempted suicide a few times as a teenager and APAP overdoses most likely led to her premature death(she didnt look after herself after the overdose, her liver just suffered damage afer damage)
 
Good to hear that the nausea has passed, but yeah like u've said Mr Fluffykins, the amount of damage done will be known in a few hours. She is very lucky and should be very thankful for you doing what you have done. Keep us posted.
 
Wow just saw this thread. I'm so glad you managed to get her to hospital and on the antidote. I hope she pulls up okay and hasn't caused irreversible damage.

I'm with n3o, her blasé attitude about the whole affair when she posted here was pretty offputting, however it shouldn't be ignored:

Yeah its amazing she is ok with that amount taken and possibly just getting to hospital in time. Surely some sort of damage has been done to the liver. And I used to get worried if i'd eaten around 15 codeine/acetominophen tablets 8)
 
Why do they have to put tylenol in codeine ? You're in Canada right? It's just codeine I don't get why they have to do that. The people who make the rules are such bastards. So many countries sell codeine without tylenol in them and you don't see crazed codeine addicts roaming the streets robbing and killing to get more codeine. It's so much better painkiller than tylenol and so much less dangerous. Whats wrong with the world, they wont even let someone have a little codeine to heal some of their emotional pain without possibly killing themselves? I truly hate the world.

And its sucks that shes making you deal with this again. If she's afraid why doesn't she just call an ambulance or go to the emrgency room? Just call an ambulance and tell them what happened. Thats all you have to do, itll only take few minutes to call an ambulance, and then you'll know shell be ok and you wont have to worry.
