What Really Pisses You Off?

The majority of peoples attitudes towards people with a disability. I'm a disability support worker and I constantly have people asking me if it's hard working with "real fucked up people", drives me fucking bonkers!
 
<3 goes out to you. I respect you're line of work immensely. Most un-praised profession.

Fuck the haters, they don't know what they're missing out on b not getting involved with the sort of people you work with. There;s more to learn from them in a day about yourself than you can in a year.

I just don't understand, most people either feel really sorry for them or are completely disgusted and weirded out by them. What ever happened to treating everyone the same? Our society pushes so hard to give equal rights to everyone but somehow the disabled are still left behind. They're still human beings with 10 fingers and 10 toes, have real feelings/emotions and for the most part have a family that care about them. No different to people without a disability I would have thought?

I'm sorry if i sound like I'm preaching btw, I just had a bit of an incident on the weekend and thought this thread would be perfect to unload onto. :)

It depends on the EP. If it's just a couple of sub standard songs then sure, but if it's a neat little experiment then I'm all for it. For instance NOFX's The Decline was a sweet experiment in that it was just one 18 minute song, and it changes about a million times throughout, with a bunch of different vibes and some really cool lyrics. Pity their albums started sucking not long after that.

I really hate it when bands release a pre-album EP and then put at least two of the songs on the album. That is just fucking scamming fans.

Then there's Grinspoon's use of EPs to build themselves up some false underground cred. and then they used half of the songs from two EPs on their first album. Massively lame (although they were solid fucking EPs).

I'm not a fan of his music, but I don't understand why there's so much hate towards him. He's just another artist, albeit younger.

It isn't? I mean obviously the serious drug talk and information goes in Australian Drug Discussion, but I've always been under the impression that Aus Social was the appropriate place to discuss the social aspect of drug taking and that it was certainly fine to mention drugs from time to time. Obviously talking about anything relating to sale or purchase of drugs is not kosher, of course.

I think you've posted something about this before and I asked but I don't remember if you replied (then again I might just have imagined asking :) ). So have I been sadly mistaken in the past, or has there been a change in the Aus Soc or other Bluelight forum policy that I haven't heard of? I meant one of the main reasons people talk to each other on here is because they have recreational drug use, or at least and interest in them, in common.

For real? I err... Well... Cmon man, I can't even give this a dignified response. Sorry if I offend but god damn, that is the zing of the day. Haha Justen bieber an artist. It's like saying Neil Armstrong built his own rocket.
