I was expecting something a little more in depth/scientific than that when I read the thread title tbh.Because it doesn't hit you at once. It leaves the stomach in bits and the bits get absorbed one by one. We lose a lot more weed than we get.
It conflicts with science and our experiences.what is so wrong about it chainer i'd like to hear?
Basically, there are a number of things to consider here.
1.The efficiency of smoking versus eating at delivering cannabis into your body.
Eating-perfect efficiency, obviously.
Smoking-cannabis is destroyed by burning, it is impossible to inhale all smoke, or to absorb all the THC from the smoke.
2. The effect of first-pass metabolism- when smoked, this is avoided. When eaten, most THC is metabolised to 11-OH-THC, which is more potent than THC itself. Having said that, it is possible that some THC is metabolised to inactives.
3. The relative bioavailability of smoked vs. oral THC- This I don't know, and doubt anyone does, as it's not the sort of thing studies get funded for.
