I was wondering why you are automatically logged out in only a few minutes instead of making it like an hour. It seems that I can never type a post before it logs me out and I have to log in again.

Is there any way we can make the logout time a little longer?

Thanks

The log out time is 15 minutes. Sometimes things will glitch and log you out sooner than that I think (it sure seems like its happened before anyway). You can always click the "remember me" box. :)

It just bothered me because I wrote a long thread and when I went to post it I had to log in again and I lost the whole thing I wrote. I know it doesn't always do that, but when it does it makes you mad.

It should give you some kind of message like "you do not have permission to perform this action" or something like that, that lets you know that you need to copy it before you continue. But you should copy any long message anyway, just to be safe.

Also, if you forget to copy it before you post, you should be able to press the back button on your browser and it will bring you back to your post. Then you can copy it, log back in, and post.

I think using the 'post reply' button it will work like that most of the time and never work like that when posting from the 'quick reply', at least ime, I usually use Firefox.

Yea thats sort of a hit or miss for me. Sometimes pressing "back" works and you luck out, sometimes it doesnt. I havent noticed any pattern to when it does or doesnt work :\

That is really nifty. Thanks for pointing it out:) I think we should probably have a thread soon on software, add-ons, and extensions that help folks with Bluelighting.

I find if you move away from a page without saving something you've written on it you can click the back button and even if the text field is empty command-Z (undo) often recovers it.
