DEA emergency-scheduled 4 JWH's

Pigs! This is as real bitch, I almost never use these chemicals but more prohibition is never a good thing. I also might be on probation in a few months, and I was hoping to be able to fall back on JWH-018. At least there are still quite a few synthetics that are legal.

Yeah I just heard about it too, it doesn't surprise me though.

I keep seeing news reports on JWH-XXX and how some parent had to send little johnny to the emergency room because he overdosed on it. 8)

Even though I don't use it and never intend to, more bans are never a good thing.

I think we all saw this coming. Im not for any substances being controlled but I wasn't to hot on JWH's to begin with.

Hopefully the ban won't hold. Some of these compounds are useful for treating depression. In my case, 018 lifts the fog of depression without exacerbating my bipolar condition, which makes it a very valuable compound for me. Nothing else even comes close. An antidepressant that works and doesn't make me manic and/or psychotic... I found it, and now it's being taken away :p

^^ that's how I felt when they banned AMT. It didn't stop them - but it didn't stop me from importing it and using it either.

In any case, I don't particularly care for any of the ones they scheduled so I'm just fine... and keep in mind that there are at least 250 JWH compounds... Not to mention the CP, AM, and WIN compounds.

They can never ban them all - even a blanket ban wouldn't work because there are too many substitutions that can be done.

I don't think they will succeed in getting a permanent ban on any of them EXCEPT 018 because 018 has been associated with so many health issues.

YES!! I was so bummed AMT is banned its really great. Im jealous of the EU people who can get it super easy.

Ive found all JWH's to be super anxiety causing for me but its pretty sad to see these scheduled. Fucking nazis really, its not like the DEA is going to do any legit research as to whether or not these compounds are really dangerous.

At least some proper studies will be done I spose. But as mentioned above, they will never ban all the chemical alternatives. There's simply too many.

Noticed this earlier today , sucks : (

Not surprising, but not right either. The government shouldn't be able to make drugs illegal without the consent of the people.. or at all for that matter... marijuana policy project, save us all!

There's a pdf from the federal register in which this was announced by the DEA, that was on some swiss news outlets site, just looked for it a little but haven't found it again yet I'll post up a link sometime if no one else does.

If its not too much to ask can you explain the differences in all these substances? effects, experiences and what not... how easy is it to get ahold of

This will hold. I'd be stunned if this wasn't made permanent in the 12 month emergency ban (with a possible 6 month extension).

Lots of people self-report alleviation of depression, anxiety, etc. from illicit substance but in general, they still have too many drawbacks versus legitimate psychotropic medications.

If what I saw in the news is any indication, the reason for the emergency scheduling is similar to the reason behind salvia being banned in some states; some fucktard kid shot himself after using it and the parents are out for blood.

Where were they, BTW?

Sorry for the harshness and bitterness, but I'm unable to acquire actual weed anymore, and I don't foresee that ever changing. I've never had any problems whatsoever from JWH-018 and have always used it responsibly. I'm so tired of being punished for other people's stupidity.

And, unlike actual weed, we'll never see this stuff (well, JWH-018, anyway) again. I'd rather eat paint chips than buy "street" JWH-018. I don't buy "street" anything (which of course is why I have zero access to my old friend marijuana; I moved and no longer have my network of devoted stoners one step removed from a grower); it's not worth the risk.

Christ, this has me pissed off.

This is exactly what happened with MDMA.
Emergency scheduled in C1 and never left.

Like many people have said, I saw this coming miles away.

^right and I believe this is the ONLY time since mdma was emergency-scheduled that they've used these powers

EDIT:

at least BZP and TFMPP have been emergency scheduled as well.

Soooo why doesn't the DEA just say something like "All substances which are cannabinoid receptor agonists are schedule I" or something?

^they can't formulate it that broadly with the way the CSA is written. They need to outlaw specific substances (which will automatically prohibit analogues and homologues of such).
