Every medication is said to gradually lose it's potency as time goes by, but my guess is its very slow. I would think that it would take many many years for an OC20 to lose it's potency almost entirely. I have taken pills over a year old which still held most of their potency. I took adderall once that was 2 or 3 years old not expecting much because of its age, but it hit me as if it had barely lost any of its kick.
 
Is is true that smoking oxycontin causes the talc to crystallize in your lungs, causing the break down of healthy alveoli?

Reason I am asking is because I have only done OC 80mg like 12 times only, and I always snorted them. Well the last two times, I didn't have a grinder and neither did my friend, so he urged me to smoke it with him. My dumbass finally agreed and I smoked about a half with him. I did this the following day as well.

How badly did this effect my lungs? I am in good shape and play basketball every day, so if the pill really did crystallize in my lungs, will it eventually go away on its own or is it there for as long as I live?

I regret doing it and I'm going to quit OC completely, I just wanna know how bad I fucked up my lungs...
 
^You can also get talc in your lungs by snorting them causing talcosis (is that the right word? i forget.) .. so either way it's not too healthy.
But im not one to preach because i used to snort OC's knowing it was bad for my lungs but i didn't care.. at least you care lol. I think you will be fine, a couple times smoking it most likely wont cause permanent damage. And if it does it would be minimal compared to if it was an everyday thing.. than you would need to be worried.

Wait, so if you snort it, it goes to your lungs too?! wtf .. I thought it went through your nose and into your stomach.

I wish I never did this shit, or at least just ate them or something. Fuck.
 
it goes in your lungs if you snort too hard or fast.. you're correct it does go to the stomach but that's when it drips. the initial inhalation of the powder is what can get into your lungs.
 
Serious did you get high? Stop worrying about it you will be fine just don't smoke it anymore smoking pills is stupid I just want to know if smoking got you high though.

Oh, it definitely got me high. I held the hits in for as long as I could. The effect is a bit different vs snorting it though. You get an instant head rush, and you do get the body high but its not as intense as the body high you get when you snort it, you don't feels as good. Plus it doesn't last as long.

Never doing it again though, fuck that shit.
 
Just stick to swallowing and snorting. Snorting is much more efficient than smoking, and hits you almost as fast as smoking.

I have read that if you could not take the new formula you could call purdue and with a Dr. note you could get the old formula! That is a total lie. You can only get the new formula, that's all they make now!
 
^ there has been speculation that the old OC is coming back, due to GI issues with the binding substance in the OPs.

also yes, i just wanted to try smoking the OC, id suggest snorting first, then eating...
 
you can ask the pharmacy for generic OC, and they are just like the old ones.. it's what my former friend does now..

These new OP oxycontin suck, they turn into Elmers glue consistency when chewed, can't be crushed, etc. Good thing I have roxi 30s.

I just started shooting the Roxi 30s......worst decision ever. Thing was, eating the roxi and oxy stopped giving me a decent rush as my tolerance went up. I stopped getting that great feeling from the onset of an opiate high.....I mean I still got high, but no onset euphoria, which was my favorite part....so I started to shoot the roxis...which gave me an OK rush (better than eating, but rather disappointing given what some people say about shooting them).

When im out of roxis though all I have left is the oxy80s which AFAIK nobody knows how to shoot yet. So question is, anyone figured out how to dissolve these suckers yet?

Why do I "nod" more when I consume oxycodone orally rather than via nasal admin (insufflation)?

I don't like snorting things anyhow, but it just seems odd that eating pills gets me more ripped than if I bump them.

That is ridiculous because i get my 80's script every month and all i do is ask for ethex generic oxycontin and i get OC 80 just like the old ones exactly. And i got the filled last week and just asked for that generic and they have it or will order it for me.
 
does it say the generic brand is "ethex" on the pill bottle from your pharmacy? You are sure they are "ethex" brand generics but still are printed with OC/80 on the pill? Are they green like brand 80s?

sorry not tryin to play 20 questions, this is just very interesting, I would love to get 80s that can be crushed and dissolved in water like the old ones.

BTW, are the ethex generics cheaper than others? THANKS!
 
I get the oxy 60s and now that they changed the formula, these bastards don't take away pain like they used to.
I really really hope that there would be a chance of them being changed back.
My only salvation is to IV dilaudid 2mgs. Guh......
