Let me start off by saying, I was told that there is a suboxone megethread somewhere on here, but I could not find it. So, please don't jump down my throat for posting my question on here. Again, sorry.

How long after using heroin should I wait before taking a suboxone, I did a 3 bag shot 8 hours ago and I am starting to feel shitty already. Is it OK, to take one now????
 
Yes it is.. I usually mess with subutex which isnt much different except it doesnt contain the opiate blocker.. Suboxone is a pill that contains 2 medicinal ingredients – buprenorphine and Naloxone where as subutex does not contain Naloxone, but anyhow u can take either once u are starting to withdrawal, they just tell you not to take it soonor since you could go into bad withdrawals if you don't wait but since your feeling shitty I'd take it..
 
Well I took 4mg of suboxone right when I made that post and OMG!!!! I was so sick for about 4 hours and then I fell asleep. Woke up this morning at 4:00am and took another 4mgs and its still not really helping me, though I'm not feeling as sick, I still feel shitty. Maybe it's becuz I did 25 bags of dope over the weekend. I'm not really sure what's going on.
 
Well the first sickness you got when you took the first 4 mg was probably precipitated WD because apparently you didn't wait long enough ( its different for everyone, I can do opiates and take sub 6-7 hours later and be completely fine with no precip WD, others wait 24 hours and still get sick).

And now you aren't feeling so hot because you haven't adjusted yet, or thats how it is for me atleast. After a run on opiates when I switch back to sub I still feel kinda shit for the first day or so, after that I always stabilize and feel much betterr. Just give it some time and ull be good to go.

I don't know exactly how you feel, but personally (from personal experience) feel that a lot of people over exaggerate how bad they feel. You say you did dope 8 hours ago, and want to take a sub because you are starting to feel shitty. I have to ask, do you really feel that bad? Or do you just want to try to chase a high knowing you have a pill to take
 
Yea my bad dude, I thought by you saying you felt shitty you ment you were withdrawlin so that's why I said to take it, I generally wait till the morning since I usually get right at night since I have work.. Well the hard parts over now so you should start feeling better soon ...

i've gotten precipitated withdrawals past the 24 hour mark. the time may be different for everyone, but I force my self either to wait till i hit 36 hours or until I really feel like utter shit.

throwing a sub under your tongue when you get a cold chill and a drip of sweat is begging for precipitated withdrawal

do a google and read about suboxone/buprenorphine/subutex, the nalaxone in suboxone is smoke and mirrors, you can eat it shoot it whatever the fuck you want. the buprenorphine..the active ingredient in both brands is what blocks opiates (once it is active in your sytem and has bonded to the receptors in your brain).
 
If you were to take half a milligram of bupe, would it still block opiates or would the norbuprenorphine overpower it?
 
Depends what ROA you used, but a half mg of bupe probably isn't going to do much blocking.

In my experience sublingual 4mg + is a pretty solid blocking dose, especially anything above that.

I've sniffed 1 or 2mg, iv'd the same amount, and had the same amount sublingual, and I was able to get high the same day

2mg iv'd with 100%ba vs 30%ba sublingual makes a big difference though, but like I said 12hr later I had no problem getting high. .5mg, you can probably get high as soon as you want

a half MG, no matter what ROA, never stopped me. I guess it depends on the opiate and amount you plan on using. Some say its a syngeristic combo, others say it will take you a little more to get high. Either way I don't think you'll notice any block at all if you sublingually took .5mg

Norbupe can never overpower regular bupe.

Heres a simplified reason to how nor-bupe + bupe works.
  • You have 10 opiate receptors. All of them are empty.
  • You take 10 receptors worth of bupe, however 5 bond, and 5 turn into norbupe (N-demthylation).
  • So now you have, 5 full of bupe, 5 empty, and 5 of norbupe.
  • The 5 of nor bupe bind to the 5 empty slots.
  • Now you have 5 full of bupe, and 5 full of norbupe. You will feel the nor-bupe because it can bind.
  • Now assume you stared with 20 receptors, same thing, 10 of bupe bind, 10 turn into nor-bupe.
  • The nor-bupe cannot bind to any open receptors, or kick bupe off, so you don't feel any nor-bupe, only bupe.

Also, I have taken subs, then 8 hours later heroin and gotten wrecked. I've also done heroin and 8 hours later taken sub, and never have had p/w's from them. The problem is when people need something. Every little ache sets them off, omg I'm sooo sick, need to take something. It's because they are chasing a high, and can't handle even normal life stresses, that they end up taking suboxone when they really don't need it, and end up in p/w. Don't take it unless your literally dying from being sick, and you'll never have to worrt

So, its really been a rough 2 days. I took another 8mg yesterday afternoon and was sick all day. This morning at 4:00am is 48 hours since I last used. I took 4mgs around 5:00 this morning and now I feel fine. Still a little sweaty and cold, but other than that I good. I really need to stop fuckin' with the diesel and committ to suboxone.

It doesn't make sense that you've been sick for that long. I would suggest a lot may be in your head
 
ok stuckinaloop how is that dumb advice? Jamtastic even said he'd done shit 8hrs later, mr. right said he did 25bags of dope, shit I thought he was withdrawlin I only said it cause I've fely like hell 8hrs later and it always works for me without being sick but I told him I take subutex usually anyways not suboxone.. U aint gotta talk shit
 
because what works for you does't work for everyone

in fact

in most every case on this board/other boards a heroin user taking bupe at 8 hours resulted in PW's

the only way you can get past that is if you have low physical dependance/no physical dependance or you are a somewhat new user

hows it dumb advice? you told him hed be alright and he got precipitated withdrawals. at the very least you could have referred him to take the Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Score (COWS Test, another thing a 1 second google will turn up) instead of risking getting someone sick for a few hours/days

also, please explain to me why subutex would work differently then suboxone.
 
^^Bupe has a higher affinity than naloxone, so there's no difference between taking suboxone or subutex

8 hours is much too soon (no dis to cottonmouthqueen). Yes, you should have waited 24-48 hours. That is how long your supposed to wait before starting Suboxone maintenance. Your told to wait 48 hours if you were taking Methadone because of its long half-life. They wait until you go into full blown withdrawals before starting you on a low dose of Suboxone and then gradually up your dose until you are no longer going through withdrawals.

The reason you were still feeling sick after dosing wasn't because of precipitated withdrawals, it was because you were still going through withdrawals of heroin and not at the correct dose yet. Usually it takes until your on 8mg before the withdrawals begin to subside. Longer if your taking a lower dose.
 
i used to have to take 8mg the day after using....i only ever waited 12 to 24 hours.....

now that i am at 1mg.....it seems 1mg the day after works fine...

slowly tapering on bupe can be painful, i had to wait 36h for a 4mg dose, then another 12h before another 4mg dose.....i luckily took another 4mg a few hours later....this was going on BMT
 
yea I fucked up 2days ago n took some sub after 12hrs from takin H and I thru up al day I learned now to wait also lmao it was hell!!!!
