I sometimes think about this when I'm bored. It'd be interesting to think of how society would (or wouldn't) operate.

Well considering we would all burn out within 2-3 days tops, society would collapse lol
No really, if everyone was constantly rolling, there would be no sexuality (homo or straight would be the past - bisexuals only), there would be no wars unless someone did something stupid - even then, most every body would be too e-tarded to care, reality would cease to exist and would be replaced by a new one.
Human life span would be cut by at least 40-70 years...
I mean rolling naturally. A world where humans can't even understand violence or war and just all love and be friends with each other. It would be so HAPPY![]()

Creeps out my friends when I talk about it, though. I've had some crazy philosophical debates about this one.
Our bodies aren't evolved to handle that much serotonin release, but it would be cool if it did.
That's the point made in the link i posted. It would require genetically altering our DNA -- literally taking evolution into our own hands and creating a new species of "human" that was capable of this. For those that were born "emotionally handicapped", there could be wireheading (electronically permanently altering brain chemistry). It's really an awesome article. Totally worth the long read![]()
yes what you are talking about is just wrong on so many levels and unnatural in so many ways. genetically engineering a permanent X trip? or practically brainwashing people into always being perky and happy? no those other emotions are what allow us to survive and adapt. we need those just as much if not more so than happiness.
This thread started off as pure fail, but im liking where its going
IMO, we need anger. Otherwise, we do stuff that we dont even know is wrong. Anger in others is our cue that we fucked up. How many times have you seen someone do something so stupid you couldnt believe it while they were rolling?
I know its happened to me quite a few times. Not saying that it wouldnt be nice to be happy more often, but bad emotions have their place.
Never, actually. Anger is a completely fear based emotion. If you're angry, you're afraid of something. Disgust is what you seem to be describing which is a reaction to something that you feel is gross. This is completely culturally influenced.
