If there is anyone on here who would say they are incredibly well versed in Magic and Psychedelics, i would like them to private message me, i have a very deep debacle that i want out of and i am seeking someone with a fair understanding of the arts to help guide me.

In all seriousnous, with all due respect, "Magic"?

I'm not knocking, just looking for an explanation. Am i taking you too literally or do you mean exactly what you said, as in psychedelically assisted magic getting you out of a debacle?

Honestly not bashing you or anything, just looking for clarification.

Mmm... I used to be rather interested in magic (primarily of the Golden Dawn tradition(s)), and attempted to practise, with some very limited success. Note: by 'success', I mean 'successfully altering my mind'. And I have a fair amount of experience with psychedelics. But I doubt I'd be of any help. I've never combined psychedelics with magical ritual, although I can well imagine there could be one hell of a synergy. And I don't for a moment believe that magic (of the sort I assume we are talking about) is anything other than a way of (sometimes profoundly) affecting our mental experience. :)

I know a few good card tricks
:D Excellent answer.

I tried to play D&D the first time I took mushrooms. I ended up sitting on the floor the whole time pinching my arm with a pair of vice grips. Psychs are best saved for celebration after the dragon is slain.

I don't think he is talking about card tricks or dungeon and dragons here people. If you really want him to discuss the topic more openly why not trying to show the OP some respect for his or her belief system. It could be an interesting topic if you allow it to be by creating a space where one's beliefs aren't being ridiculed or joked about for no real reason other than to post some stupid remark. I'm not try to say don't have a sense of humor...but it's obvious when you the intent behind is disrespectful.

^^^Word

I think its a valid question, i mean psychedelics are kind of magical right? Dude actually just wants someone to pm him, hes not trying to persuade anyone to believing in magic. I dont get the bringing up dungeons and dragons stuff though, no idea what that has to do with magic...

^Magic is what magicians do, sleight of hand, card trickery; Magick is one of the oldest sytems of ritual prayer/invocation/evocation. Its certainly better that people laugh at it then actually attempt to understand it.

OP, I've had a lot of experience in this realm; both realms to be sure- feel free to PM me :)

I wish the discussion could be in the thread and not in your PM box though! Magic is interesting

Lol and I never really thought about how theres magic and magick, do you really know about magick tho

I've been an eclectic pagan since I was 15 years old so I would hope I do plus I have past lives that involved roles in magick including being a Druid high priest.

Or even worse mess around with it haphazardly, not knowing what the hell they are doing.

Do you mean "magick" in the sense that Aleister Crowley ascribed the word?

I'd love to hear more on the subject.

I am not a Crowley fan but I do use the term "magick" in the sense that I wish to differentiate myself from stage magic and true magic.

I can do some psychic stuff, but I don't know about magic...

oh and super-human martial arts, either that or i'm just incredibly powerful... :D

So can someone define
2. Magick
3. True magic

These two are one and the same. Magick is taking the energy that exists in the universe and using it to manifest things in life - for example I have a natural gift of healing. I can touch someone's forehead and completely remove a migraine by pulling it into myself with my left hand and shooting it down my legs deep into the Earth.

Basically, if you want to see magick, go to a Catholic church. They are the closest to ceremonial/ritual magick that you will get without finding a circle.
