I severely fucked up my back just bending over and picking shit up, and it's been in a really bad shape for almost a week now. It hurts to sit, stand, I can barely bend my back in any direction, and I keep waking up at night when I turn into a position where my back hurts. I was first prescribed diclofenac and diazepam, which did very little to help. Now I'm on tramadol (and off the diazepam) but it's the pathetic 37,5mg with 325 of paracetamol. The pain is really distracting, and those aren't really sufficient, although better than the previous meds.
Where I live, hydrocodone isn't an option I believe, so I don't know what options I've got to ask the doc. Higher dose tramadol, maybe a muscle relaxant to go with that? I have this feeling the next ones up the ladder, morphine and oxycodone, are not commonly prescribed for back pains.
If it was a muscle strain it shoulda healed by now, though. I'm wondering just what's wrong with it.

). It helps, but it doesn't cover all the pain. I'm gonna go see the doc again tomorrow, see what he says.
