Dreaming about IVing heroin

Basically, in the past couple of weeks, I've been having dreams that revolve around me scoring heroin and IVing it. In these dreams, I am in a world of bliss and satisfaction upon shooting up.

What's worrying me is that I have never tried H, or any opiate. I have never used needles to get high, and I would have thought dreaming about something as graphic as this would be more like a nightmare.

So...are these dreams disturbing? I'm worried that they may represent an innate desire to use heroin, or that these dreams represent significant drug-cravings.

Either way, dreaming about shooting up heroin is not a good thing, so anyone who can shed some light on this issue please share your thoughts...

lol obviously you really want to do heroin. I had a couple dreams where I did salvia and had a a ton of fun before I ever really tried it. boy was that a let down.


idk, maybe you have a subconscious desire to do it. don't shoot up heroin though, that shit's addictive.

Ditto. When I first quit, I used to have drug dreams frequently to the point where I would wake up worried about having a positive urine.

I don't think, however, that this means you want to try IV heroin. Try not to over-interpret these dreams.
 
did u watch a movie about dope or have u been watching others do it?

i know before i used a needle, i had general knowledge of what to do but actually doing it is different. nothing can really prepare u for that
 
I am in the same boat I have never done H but the last week or so I have had 4 extremely vivid dreams of me shooting up. I already have an opiate problem and H would just destroy the remaining remnants of my life.

You're mind is out to trick you !

I'm sure browsing through bluelight could be partly to blame. I imagine actually shooting up looks and feels worlds apart from these dreams, but they leave me in no doubt as to what they are about.
 
I have the same issue but it only started after trying mdma for the first time, I would dream everynight for a month about doing mdma and would always feel as if i was truely on it. It started to change over the past couple weeks and now my dreams involve drugs that i have never tried in my life. For example.. last night i had a dream involving meth, where the smoke hit my lungs and i experienced a rush of amazingness, but again i have NEVER done meth and for some reason i had an amazing dream about it.

For me i do tend to browse these forums late at night and read alot of interesting things so it is possible that you just take that with you to sleep, but again i believe i have read this on an older post i made due to dreaming of mdma, It could just be a mental need for drugs and since you may not experience them enough in real life, your mind is trying to take it with you to sleep.

Don't take it as any kind of sign, I find these dreams pretty enjoyable sometimes and feeling random rushs of highness in my sleep is not something i can complain about ;p
 
OP, this probably means you are trying to escape something in your life. Like something major is worrying you and you don't know how to deal with it. Maybe you've come into contact with H before in some way or another and your brain subconsciously connects the two.
Anyway, i'm not a psychiatrist or a doctor, i'm a technology student and I have had similar experience happen to me before. I've never done any H or coke but I was having these clear as day dreams that I'd be doing a shit load of drugs and getting lifted in my dream. I'd be going out and partying with my twin brother and he would get me a some coke to spice up the night... shit like that. Keep in mind my bro is anti anything that alters you except alcohol. He also said he'd have the same type of dream on that same night, crazy huh?

This almost exactly sums up my situation! I first tried MDMA last summer, and have consumed about 4 gram's worth since. I know I have a very real craving for MDMA (who wouldn't), and it has featured in dreams. Maybe it's this craving to get high that created the dreams about heroin.

I'll have to agree with you, getting high in my sleep does feel good, but when you wake up and realise it was all placebo, it only exaggerates the cravings.
 
I had dreams involving sex, drugs when I were very young and hadn't experienced those yet.
And to my surprise both sex and drugs felt exactly how they did in my dreams.

Later on I god hooked on the sex and Heroin part. Now clean for 4 months and I have a lot of dreams in which i go and buy dope, cooking the dope and try to injekt it but I fail somehow 90% of the times. And a lot of crack dreams too.
 
i frequently have intensely viviv dreams about shooting heroin, and i always just assumed it was because of my history with the drug. however i recently spoke with a friend of mine who has never used, and she admitted that she has had dreams about shooting heroin despite no desire to ever try it.
So i don't know if it necessarily has to be disturbing or an indication that you want heroin. heroin has been asserted in our culture as a symbol of extreme desire and pleasure -it might be as simple as metaphor or just totally random head thoughts.
i wouldn't been concerned.
 
Don't overinpret your dreams. Just are really just a product of your brain going wacky during the dream stage of sleep. Every sense you experienced or even something you saw on TV or heard on the radio can enter your dreams. It's sorta like there is no filter on your mind.

I have experienced dreams about shooting various opiates plenty of times but this was mostly during opiate withdrawal so it makes sense that i would. Withdrawal nightmares suck badly and are horrible. Yet another reason not to try heroin or any other opiate in the first place :\ . But i have dreamed about doing meth, ecstasy and more obscure psychedelics and i havent tried those. I havent tried heroin either but i have dreamed about scoring it while withdrawing from morphine, dilaudid, oxycodone or fentanyl. But i dreamed about any opiate/opioid during withdrawal because that is pretty common.

I would say just chalk it up to your subconsciousness going wacky during sleep and leave heroin as nothing but a dream.

I saw two people get hep C in a matter of seconds the other day. Trust me its not all that great. :\

Me too.,I hate that. At least let me get high in my dreams now that I don't do it anymore.
