my girlfriend wants to shoot up for the first time

i, of course, said FUCK that and will have nothing to do with this.

she'd anticipated this though, and plans to have my buddy introduce her to the world of needles.

she's never used a needle before but we smoke heroin on a somewhat regular basis, though we've both agreed needles are stupid... she says (like everyone else) that she'll only use it once, maybe twice if she doesn't get high.

i'd be apt to believe her, as she has demonstrated SOME ability to control drugs (she doesn't fiend, but she'll wolf her drugs down like no other.) i'm firmly under the belief that needles are just different though. she says she still wants to experience the "most amazing, incredible feeling only once."

HELP? she wont listen to me when i say its fuckin stupid..

on top of that, she refuses to admit she has a drug problem...

though it's not very severe, i consider a drug problem to be when one's drug use begins to affect themsevles, their work, friends, people around them, etc. in a negative way... i'm not addicted to anything and i'll admit to myself that i have a bit of a problem... most anyone who does drugs and can man up will admit it amirite?

so using this not all drug problems would equate to addictions or even anything NEAR that, and would in fact be quite minor.

but i was holding her today listening to her bawl her eyes out, she suddenly stopped crying and went to my table, grabbing for her wallet and demanding that i sell her the rest of my hydromorphone to 'ease the pain.' when i told her 'easing the pain' would only delay the inevitable, she resumed crying.

when she didn't admit that THAT posed a (somewhat stereotypical) drug problem my head almost blew off.

IMO it's not something that you can do only once, the first time I IV'd I fell in love with it, you won't want to go back to smoking once you experienced the rush. Also if you think w/ds are now wait until you have an iv habit! Be safe

Who is she to you? What does "girlfriend" mean here actually? Do you love her? Does she love you? Because if I were you, I would do anything to stop her from doing that and I would tell that good buddy of yours to not poke his nose in someone's else affairs.

u can be able to afford heroin/or have a prescription of oxycodone for 20 years and have it not effect ur work life, friends, ect...but ur still an addict no matter what...what ur saying is basically a lee way to being an addict

From wat i have seen there is no such thing as only shootin up once. I have never done it but i have seen people do it and it completely took over there lives. Like someone said above she wont wanna go back to smokin it cuz the rush wont be the same. Maybe try explaining to her that the first time will be the ONLY time its goin to feel that good and she will spend the rest of her time addicted to H trying to chase that first high.

No offence, but if I heard some 'buddy' of mine was introducing my girlfriend to needles I'd give them a pretty stern warning and if it happened again maybe something more. You're girlfriend doesn't realize that once she shoots up she wont want to go back to smoking it, like everyone said it's a slippery slope and you should do all you can to stop her if you really care for her.

It remindes me when i first started getting into heroin, It was my girlfriend at the time and a nother couple. My stupid ass got my hands on a set,The first time I actually ever shot up was by myself in my room,which was extra dumb because if you are ever gonna do it the first time smarter to have someone there. Anyway i hid it from her for as long as I could, All the while She started secreatly shooting up because the other couple showed her how. But I guess with Heroin its the next step in a long line of bullshit. Sorry to say it but Its inevitable in many ways. yeah that's exactly what i said, she won't want to go back to smoking it, she won't be getting her money's worth. that's why i told her i haven't injected yet - because obviously you're going to keep wanting to.
