They are synthed and they are coming - any idea on the effects? The 3-Me-4-MeO-MCAT looks like it could be interesting... not too keen on more 4 positions hitting the market and I'm not sure about more pyros either. 4-Me-EABP is probably just a weaker version of 4-MeMABP but you guys are the experts not I.

Chem names: 4-fluoro-methylaminobutyrophenone - 4-F-MABP
4-Methoxy-Pyrrolidinobutyrophenone - 4-MeO-PBP
4-Ethyl-Pyrrolodinobutyrophenone - 4-Et-PBP
3-Methyl-4-Methoxymethcathinone - 3-Me-4-MeO-MCAT
4-Methyl-ethylaminobutyrophenone - 4-Me-EABP

Damn you Americans and your cathinones!

I'm going to guess that all the compounds with the butyrophenone suffix are illegal here too. Fiddlesticks.

*Yawn*

Just please, whichever vendor is reading this and planning to sell them, PLEASE sell them under their standard names? Pretty please? 8(

These have literally zero documentation on them. ENTIRELY new synthesis. Any information as to possible effects would be appreciated. They're going to be on the market and there is zero information whatsoever.

Which, of course, means that some idiot is going to go buy them, then immediately stick a gram up their nose since everybody in America is obsessed with pulling white powders out of the mail and stuffing them up their noses...

People keep making these cathinones because their synthesis is supremely easy and cheap. Their fully reduced forms would probably be much more exciting drugs in and of themselves, and as the cathinones are all mostly illegal in places now I have no idea why they wouldn't if they're already making these.

Yes, there is so little info on them that the only people who should be interested in them are vendors who hope to strike lucky on the next meph.

I personally think there are too many cathinones on the market today and all are equally worthless. The last thing we need is more and potentially lethal ones. In this case, the ONLY reasonable thing to do is follow shulgin's advice: take a single milligram and dilute it 1000X and start at that.

Heavily-substituted 4-alkyl-amps probably have strong MAOI properties.

Analogs of cathinone are not directly illegal here in the states... and I don't believe they're illegal in Canada, Mexico, South America, etc., but don't quote me on that... Me personally... Besides M1 I haven't tried the other cathinones but they all look pretty nasty - even Methylone can be pretty damn nasty.

Anyway just thought I'd post this up there to see if we can get any SAR discussion going or any hypothesis' on toxicity, metabolism, etc. You are all geniuses over here so I figured this was the best place to ask.

EDIT: Yeah Jamshyd, that's the responsible thing... but it seems like these days, people start with 10mg or so and then an hour later snort 500 and then bitch about the headache or nausea, etc...

Hmm curious, I know nothing of these butyrophenones.

I don't really understand why the American market needs "the next meph" when the regular old one is still legal. I'm not sure that one is worthless, but I suppose that's a matter of opinion.

Sigh... why not just make 3-methyl-4-methoxy-amphetamine? (Or is it 3-methoxy-4-methyl that has been played around with?)

I stand by my lack of desire to ever play with the cathinones. Maybe methylone in metered doses, but certainly no meph (nor 'bullshitdrone' and its similar new 'law bending' spawn).

3-methyl-4-methoxy? Those morons got the goddamn compound backwards!

Don't worry, anything with a butyrophenone suffix is going to be completely and entirely, unquestionably, without a doubt worthless, recreationally-wise.

Butylone was okay. Just okay, though.

Argh butylone was the absolute worst for residual stimulation and awful after effects. How about Buphedrone? I think I read a report here which said it was pretty good.

Sorry to derail the thread slightly

Ho hum, nothing particularly novel or interesting there. The 4-fluorobuphedrone and 4-ethyl-alpha-PBP are nice ideas but I doubt they will be significantly better than the unsubstituted parents, and they could well be worse.

I would second the call above that if these are going to be sold then at least sell them under their correct chemical names so people can get some useful SAR data out of them. It slightly surprises me that no one has tried selling the plain 3-fluoro-4-methyl-methcathinone yet, considering 3-FMC and 4-MMC were among the biggest commercial successes of the class.

Its possible they just typed it wrong... I have an image of each of the molecules in 2D...

I don't understand why they don't just start synthing the uncontrolled amphetamines instead of fucking with the cathinones...

Here are the 5 compounds in 2D, in order.

4th down is the MeO-MCAT in question.

The third one will likely be an NDRI similar to MDPV. The others... it's unlikely you'll see anything good. If you're lucky the fourth might be kind of a more boring methylone.

I don't understand why they don't just start synthing the uncontrolled amphetamines instead of fucking with the cathinones...

Looking at the structure of the molecules, the second and third are pyrovalerone analogs, like MDPV, not cathinone analogs, like 4-MMC. Looking at them in terms of releaser activity would probably be a mistake. You'll like them if you like cocaine, but wish it were worse.

The first and last are mephedrone analogs; the corresponding 4-MMA was so incredibly toxic and horrible that even vendors won't go near it. Analogs of 4-MMA are therefore out of the question.

I don't get why they would dare go near 4-MMC if 4-MMA was so damn toxic in the first place. Surely the cathinone isn't going to be much better. Duh.

What was so bad about 4-MMA? The only one I ever heard about was 4-MA and 4-MAR... the entire 4-position sounds toxic from what I've seen...
