In the face? I'm a pretty good looking guy, been called an 8.5/10, and I am 19 years old. I'm not worried about my body because i wokout 4 times a week and have a pretty fit physique. I've been smoking weed since 15 and I'm no worse for the wear, but over the past 7 months i've been getting into oxycontin (snorting 40mg once every 2 or 3 days) and popping percs on occasion. i really want to start doing Ecstasy and shrooms on maybe a once every 3 month basis, maybe acid once a year. i'll summarize this.

1. Do drugs make your face go to shit? Like do they make your skin wrinkly and nasty looking?
2. Will I develop that junkie look with the bags under the eyes and worn out looking?
3. And just out of idol curiosity, how bad do hard drugs (coke, meth, heroin) fuck up your face?

Sorry if this post sounds a bit wierd, I'm feelin pretty damn good, just snorted 50mg oxy and popped a 10 mg perc. :)

Things like weed, oxys and MDMA wont change your face or anything, but things like Crack and I think Heroin can if used a lot.

When I was using oxy/heroin. I lost weight and had dark bags under my eyes even though I got plenty of sleep. Opiates changed the way I looked. And now that I'm off them, I look a lot better.

Bro I am 53, been on opiates since 1980. My woman is 39 and "HOT" and I get compliments all the time, NOW you MUST TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!! I use several Oil Of Olay Products and my skin is awesome, but as I say you gotta take care!! Now which drugs you use make a big part, I in NO WAY would use anything other than Pharmacutical Drugs, they are clean, don't come from under the sink and like my name says: Legal Junkie! Good Luck!!

well it will make you drop sports, taking vitamines, and youll look like a douche.

I've been drinking since 14, smoking weed since 18, did coke for about a year when I was 19. then when I was 20 I discovered oxycontin and heroin. I'm now 25, and I don't look much older than 18. I get asked if school was let out early all the time.

I can tell you from personal experience, meth use will most likely change your facial features slightly, dunno bout fucking it up.

i did meth a total of maybe 5 times and I have had dark circles under my eyes ever since then. its been at least two years now. I am very healthy but the circles are still there. They get better if I stop smoking bud/start vaping. I think it may be due to low oxygen levels in the blood from smoke inhalation or carbon monoxide. Just a wild guess though.

I would say meth is probably one of the drugs that changes your appearance the most, and yes it is fucked up. meth mouth is fucking disgusting, and so is having sores all over your face.

I've never done meth, I'm just going by what I've seen.

heroin can make your cheeks sink in and stuff, but thats if you don't eat and stuff. other than that, if you lived a healthy life, and used heroin, your look wouldn't change as long as you took care of yourself while using.

A lot of the skin damage seen in heavy stimulant users results from not eating and not sleeping during binges. If you go three days without sleeping or eating, you're going to look pretty fucked up. Plus, people on meth tend to scratch at their face, leading to the infamous scars. Plus, stimulants make you clench and grind your teeth, which is responsible for meth mouth.

Opiates have a much smaller risk of this by comparison. If you're on MDMA, chew gum or something to occupy your teeth. Acid is totally harmless.

I think its not really the drugs necessarily (except meth, which is known to cause nasty teeth and sores and whatnot like people already said) but more so the lifestyle that comes with heavy drug use. As in not eating right, or getting enough sleep, or poor hygiene..shit like that. Take care of yourself and you shouldn't have a problem with the drugs you listed.

If you're that concerned about your looks though why risk it? 8)

I was abusing mdma (and whatever the fuck was cut with it even tho I tested about 1/2 my pills after smartening up) for about 3 years and I noticed my face was getting more wrinckles in it. Kind of annoying, I thought I really didn't look as good as I did before...but over time I noticed the wrinckles started going away, and I look fine.

Ive been clean from mdma for 10 months fyi

It's more the lifestyle than the drugs themselves that leads to changes in appearance, but caution is always good. Speed freaks often pick at their scabs, deprive themselves of food and sleep and neglect hygiene, leading to the godawful "faces of Meth" thing we've all seen. Yikes. Same goes for crack and other uppers that cause people to overexert themselves.

Opiate junkies sometimes get that zombie look: pale w/ dark eye circles, bloating and the rest. Not sure what causes this, but it seems to be more pronounced in heroin junkies and others who shoot up.

Weight gain and loss are the most common appearance-related drug side effects, and they can usually be easily controlled by observing healthy eating, exercise and sleep habits and taking periodic breaks from your DOC.

The main causes of meth mouth are usually impurities in the meth and just bad hygiene I believe. Personally I never had any problem with meth mouth, but my teeth did sometimes feel frail. Using meth more than a few times and not expecting any changes in appearance is generally unrealistic tbh.

for a while up at school, I got into a light booze+benzo routine (plus pot, of course). Not stupid doses, but a steady, constant influence. from before breakfast until bed, to keep auto-pilot functioning. I had circles under my eyes and looked like a drug addict. I still took care of myself, but showered right before bed, so in the morning when i woke up for class, my hair was always as disheveled as possible. I thought it looked good. I'm sure most girls didn't though. can't guys do heroin chic?

uppers make your skin break out and look like shit.

but i am only talking about the short term. I am sure we'd all grow up to be more attractive people if we were not habitual drug users and binge drinkers.

Emphasis is to be placed on one's lifestyle more than the actual drugs themselves. One of the best harm reduction techniques is just taking care of yourself. If you can afford to spend money on drugs, then you can also spend money on healthy food and supplements to make sure you are staying well. Treat your skin well with the right beauty products and exercise too.

There are some drugs, however, that should be completely avoided, such as amphetamines, cocaine, and prescription stimulants. Such drugs really are age excelerants. There is no high that is worth damaging your body.
