Btw the rave scene is a GREAT way to ruin mdma, .. little kids dying everywere
I cant handle double droping good beans, id be to fucked up , everyone is different and everyone's body reacts differently,
And the fools who usually overdose are the ones that push the limit. .. or soft rookies... a drugs a drug , and all substance foreign to our body can hurt us. But hey we all take the risk. And some can handle drugs better then others..
I don't think many can survive a fear and loathing weekend
More MDMA but (virtually) no freeparty scene to use it at. Seems like a waste of time to me.LSDMDMA&8707517 said:we have moar MDMA than europe it seems.

You are just not plugged in. Especially if ur in los angeles and missing that. Theres free and cheap raves everywhere all the time here.
Care to plug me into these events? :D
I tend to agree with ashtray girl -- we don't have the same kind of ethic here about raves that they do in other places...they're more like crazy parties than real forums of self-expression. Perhaps we just don't trust each other or ourselves enough to allow autonomy. *shrug* The closest thing on the west coast is Burning Man, I suppose...
That said, beggars can't be choosers. I'm pretty happy with going to these "commercial club nights" and getting my self-expression in on the sly.![]()

Thats not entirely true. You just have to find the good parties. IME, outdoors are better than indoors, you tend to get a friendlier vibe...smaller is also better than bigger, and (as hard as it is to accept) avoid big name headliners.
I know here in NM we have a shit ton of great production companies that are trying to do something innovative. For instance, the show we put on last weekend was called NintenDub, and was video gamed themed, as well as having cool interactive art installations. Virgo, in a couple weeks, is a free show, where you have to donate something (time, money, art, all three) and it is all word-of-mouth...ie you either know about it and where it is, or you're not invited. Personally, since its zombie themed, im showing up with a bunch of zombie attack t-shirts to give away.

True, there's always good stuff going on, but you have to dig for it. I was addressing the mainstream "rave" culture here rather than the underground exceptions. Over in the UK, I'm under the impression that they have things that are on a similar scale to EDC, but with the same ethic that you're describing. I'm glad to hear that it's different in New Mexico, but perhaps that's because it's more underground and thus less commercialized?
Also, both of the events you mentioned sound incredible. :D
^^the underground aspect is probably true, there is certainly a fair share of teenage kandi kidders and prostitots running around, but they tend to go to the big indoor events, which is why i included those as things to avoid...IME, if you're willing to drive 2+ hours over unpaved roads to get to a party, you're probably not there to be an idiot.
and if you can get out here in a couple weeks, ill PM you directions to Virgo, its a great spot, up on top of a mountain
