festivals 2010

Treacle, I don't have anything against Serj as an artist, I've never heard any of his solo stuff. It's just that him and Everlast don't really go with the rest of the line-up. But since Everlast is one of my favorite musicians ever, I don't really complain.

Huh, don't think we spoke to any Dutch. But we spoke to dozens of people, there were three stories:

1. There's nothing here, beer only...
2. We don't know but there will be something somewhere.
3. We've been asking everyone too and found nothing.

Festivals in the UK are not like this, people come up to you and offer you stuff.

I did feel we were the oldest people there, maybe that had something to do with it, we were 28-38, everyone else seemed 22-23 tops. Maybe they thought we were police. British police at a German festival. No that can't be right.

If you've got any idea why we found it so hard I'd be most interested.

We didn't see many people who looked wasted either.

Got The Moon (Mighty Boosh or THE MOON??), Alex Patterson (THe Orb fame), Andy Barlow (Lamb), Nucleus Roots, Seize the Day...bunch of people never heard of, but it's supposed to be great...

Not sure, will have to look more into it...but it's 80 quid for 3 days, so seeing as won't be going to Boomtown this weekend, Boom festival in Portugal next week, or Off grid ( :( ) on the 19th.

Either that or am going to wait til next month, and go to WAVEFORM!!!
 
Off to BoomTown Fair tomorrow, got tent sorted right at the last minute :D

waveform in a few weeks, any of you scum gonna come and chill with us psytrance wankers? Theres gonna be a decent techno stage this year (dave the drummer headlining :D)
 
^ hahaha...middle class hippies...nothing wrong with that...that's where the hippy movement STARTED - the middle classes...it's the pretentious ones that irk me...however pretentious ANYONE is annoying.

Psy trance wankers...well, I see what you mean there =D....only kidding.

Anyone going sanctuary festival this weekend? Three days of being a drug mess and stomping/skanking to some filthy beats and bass.
 
Did anyone go to the Green Man festival in Wales last weekend? It was great

I'm 40, I looked pretty fucked on Acid, pills and coke.
Dealers aren't conspicuous here, the implications of getting caught are pretty severe.
The Germans don't have any issue with us so it wasn't a nationality thing, and I doubt they'd have thought you were undercover.
People bring their own gear and maybe some extras but yes its not like the UK you have to get sorted in advance.
Its the same at all German festivals pretty much, bar maybe fusion and Nature One.
The dreadlocked psytrance types are usually good for acid in my experience.
Bring your own, condom, lube, arsche!
Sonne Monde Sterne is a recommendation for next year, that's a crazy festival.
 
anyone looking going westfest on 30th october? i'll be going this year it will be my first time there so has anybody been before and whats it like? i'll probably spemd most my time in the old skool tent tho :D
 
Westfest is supposed to be a brilliant event. Few of my mates went last year, they had a wicked time.

Might go this year depending on my cash flow.
 
Anyone going to Solfest this weekend? Alabama 3, James, The Damned...plenty of techno (shame about all the psy trance tho ;( )

im on this one lad cant wait for scream and caspa filthy dub, got the blue v dubs, green stars and some fuckin 2cb lets ave it!!!
 
Blue vw, green stars and 2cb!!! Gotta say i'm pretty jealous. Just managed to sort out some mdma for the weekend, just need some lager and whizz and i'll be sorted.

Remember seeing caspa and rusko at global a couple of years ago. Came up off of 2 big bombs of md and a bomb of whizz at the same time at the start of the set, that combined with some of the filth they were playing nearly put me on my arse.

I'm all over the gabba tent at sanc this year, neophyte and endymion FTW!!
