I've exhausted all obvious drug options to treat my social phobia (I can't deal with interviews and some other normal social situations but am okay with close friends). I've tried SSRIs, SNRIs, benzos (which work if I've taken a secent amount but getting a script would be impossible). What are my options now?

I think the only advice worse than dubSTEP and muddle's is suicide.

After studying dual-diagnosis and seeing the difficulty in treat addiction *and* mental illness simultaneously, I can say with certainty that your advice is horrible. I'm not normally this brazen with responses but jesus fucking christ, recommending someone with anxiety self-medicate with wildly addictive drugs? Goddamn.

I think you'll get better advice in TDS than from us fiends in OD.

(I edited out the quote you are referring to b/c it is against TDS Guidelines...so I also edited your post to fit....Sorry it leaves it a little short but hey, to the point , & good advice :)..-Ocean)

Try therapy.

ive been wondering the same question "is it really worth trading social anxiety for addiction?" right now i have both though which sucks

Just an FYI- I UA'ed a number of posts that were made when this thread was in 'Other Drugs', so if you made a post and it is not here that is why.
Talking about current use of drugs in any way that may be triggering or glamorizing is not permitted in TDS.
Please see TDS Guidelines before Posting.

No problemo. I'll just repeat one sentence that I think needs to be said - try not to self-medicate with illicit drugs. That'll just be trading social anxiety for an addiction, and in time the social anxiety will probably return anyway. Therapy (especially cognitive behaviour therapy) is the best option, in my opinion. :)
