College = over, degree = failed. Lost

Do you have any other relatives/family friends who can cosign? My parents both have bad credit so they couldn't cosign my loans, so my grandpa has been doing it for me.

Did you already take out federal (not private) loans? You don't need a cosigner for them, you just have to fill out the FAFSA and the school awards them to you if you say you want them and if you are eligible. The federal subsidized and unsubsidized loans both end up being much cheaper than private loans.

I hear what you're saying, though. I did heroin every single day of my senior year at University and got a double major. My grades weren't spectacular, but they were pretty good. I was also working full-time and doing volunteer work every week teaching English to immigrants.

If I came off a little strong with that "fucking serious" stuff, it's probably because lately, I've been trying to get the point across to a friend of mine who keeps failing the same fucking classes that, if she's going to go to college, maybe it needs to take priority before her relationship, recreational activities, etc.

Still, if you're not at least going to take it seriously enough to pass your classes, why are you going? Because it's expected of you? How seriously are you going to take your post-collegiate employment if you don't take your education at least somewhat seriously? College is a big investment of time, money, energy, etc.

And I'm the first to admit that a standard (Liberal Arts is all I can speak about from experience) education is a joke. They are basically teaching you to meet deadlines, and function in the business world, etc.

If you want to actually, I dunno, learn something, you're pretty much gonna have to pursue that on your own.

You DO have like 1 class every semester you have to be somewhat serious about, but I can't tell you how many classes I had where I missed more than half attendance (cause so many professors don't even take attendance) never had a single day of homework, and never really had to do anything but study for a couple days before the mid term and final.

I go to a competitive private uni, known for being rather hard to get into, but I'm not really smart at all. In fact, I think in your average american university a chimpanzee could get their bachelors. There are definitely certain professors who will make you work for your grade, but for the most part I wasn't that serious at all (at least till doing my thesis you have to be somewhat serious about that) and wound up with a 3.2 gpa. And this wasn't just this one uni it was also the 2 year community college I went to before that, and most colleges that my friends attended.

Not trying to give the wrong idea but college is more what you can and can't get away with than being serious as all hell about it. Once you understand the basic logistics of specific professors after your first year, its rather simple to sleep through half a semester and still ace most classes in your sophmore year. Anytime there was a professor who gave homework everyday, or gave impossible exams to pass, they were usually the ones with 20 empty seats come add/drop week. In fact, out of the 128 credits I acquired, I can only name 3 classes I actually had to be serious about. Research methods, stats, and senior thesis. But maybe its different for other majors who knows. I do know when I majored in chemistry organic chem 2 was a nightmare, but I still believe at least 75% of most classes are a joke.

I LOVED ORGANIC CHEMISTRY. I wasn't lucky enough to take classes I could sleep through though.

Your lack of understanding of the word, "logistics" would seem to demonstrate your point. Then again, The University of Phoenix is a University by name only.

I perfectly understand the word "logistics", it is the integration of information. My statement was about what professors do, their grading systems, what they pay attention to, whether they take attendance, how hard their exams are, whether they give you study topics before the exams, if they grade based on homework, a MILLION difference variables which compose the logistics
of their behavoir.

I could only see your lame provoked subtle attack on me based on some certain dysfunction in your ego. You wanna correct me on my speeling now? or maybe you're in the profession of teaching yourself?

Then I can understand your contorted attempt to teach me something. And it would again appear to demonstrate my point. If you were a professor, a chimpanzee could pass your class.

i was so glad i somehow managed to hang on through the years of school ... was abusing my share of mdma, oxy, adderol, etc etc while also working 1-2 jobs but escaped with my piece of paper that said summa cum laude.
i think its in my attic somewhere ...

i had scholarships and parental funding tho, my saving grace.

been working ever since, held down 2 jobs for a little while, but trying to take night language class was too much for me. once you get out its so hard to get back into the proper mindset.

And you're still a terrible teacher.. with deep seeded insecurities. Shouldn't it be common sense to you as a mod that there is a HUGE difference between aimlessly telling someone they're doing something wrong, and telling someone they're doing something wrong BUT offering an example of how to do it correctly?
What is the fucking POINT of telling me I'm wrong, if you're not even gonna try to correct me? Does it make you feel smart or something?

Because common sense would dictate, that the first situation makes you an egostical asshole who gets off on telling people they're wrong, while the second situation would simply make you a helpful person.

So if logistics isn't the integration of information? What are you gonna try to tell me next? That grass isn't green? Logistics IS planning, its a strategy, its a design. My professor had a STRATEGY or PLAN that he taught by. That is the logistics of how he teaches. Now I would love for YOU to tell ME not just that I'm wrong, but WHY I'm wrong... otherwise I have no idea wtf you are trying to say.

Does that make sense to you?

Um, why can't you get loans? There is no cosigner needed, the govt. overhauled the whole student loan thing this year and all of the loans are directly through the government, and they are guaranteed no matter what.
 
Just take a step back to allow you to get everything back on track. Your credits will never expire and I am sure you will continue to follow your dreams to the best of your abilities. Stop worrying and don't be in a rush, you will make it! Not everyone gets to ride through life (I am one on the long road). Stay strong and don't give up! Do some research and you will find more grants and options to help pay for school/housing/etc. Take a look back at yourself and see how far you have already made it :). Take it one day at a time
