Thanks everyone for all the good data. I have little reason to doubt so far that the active compound in these is the same as in the samples. It is absolutely clear however that experiences with the pellets are much less consistent than with the samples. Two reasons for this may be:
(1) The binder in the pellets breaks down very slowly or not at all in some people's guts.
(2) The doses are not consistent between pellets.
Possibility (1) is very likely true based on reports of the long onset. How much variability there is between subjects is still an open question. Unfortunately, possibility (2) is looking more plausible with some people seeing only mild effects, even after consuming a crushed pellet. Never mind though that if the binding agent is particularly insoluble, crushing the pellet may not make much of a difference.
Could someone who isn't afraid to taste this stuff please try dissolving it in warm water before taking? At least if it dissolves in water readily, (1) can be ruled out more easily. If the crumbles just float for hours, well then we have to wonder if it might just pass through one's gut undissolved?
Also, it now seems not unreasonable to suspect that, on average, they contain < 100 mg a piece. This may well be a saving grace if (2) is true and some (i.e., Beefy's friend or iloveironcrosses) ended up with doses on the high end.
