I haven't heard of that before but if you're concerned you need to ask your doctor about it. Have you had any bumps to the head recently? Does this happen every time you have a manic episode?

Which meds are you on J&H? Different meds have different side effects, as you know, so it's hard to comment unless we know which meds you're taking :)

I think today I'm going to BBQ some steak kebabs in my fire pit, which consists of a few cinder blocks and charcoal briquets. Truly old school. Seems a nice way to finish a Sunday... Glad I'm not even out of bed yet, though. The past 4 days have been somewhat of a flurry of good times.
 
Jekyll and Hyde, anisocoria is what you want to google for medical data about size difference between pupils, in case u are wanting to get some data b4 you have a chance to mention it to your Doc. Very often it is benign and not indicative of problems. Dilated pupils while manic is not all that rare.

^Well, I did have a good weekend right up until the end. Someone I've been hanging out with who has a whole slew of really unusual ideas (to the point of extremism/fanaticism) came to visit. He is introverted - hell, so am I. I thought dinner would be a fun way to get a group together and for the most part it was. I didn't even have too much beer. Everyone else did.

We were watching some videos (which made me want to facepalm as the topic was conspiracy theory) and it was just getting creepy and weird. He threw in a couple remarks that could be construed as misogynistic and I asked him if he hated women or something? I do not think I have ever seen someone so mad. It was totally out of order and I was glad when he stopped waffling at the blowhole.

To give you a further idea as to why I doubt we'll continue to be friends... he accused *me* of being overly left-brained/analytical (lolwut?) and then told me while we were discussing Ron Paul (anyone who knows me knows that is a BAD, BAD topic to bring up around me) that while before he was split on the pro-choice v. pro-life issue, he is now pro-life and I am a "baby killer" who "approves of genocide" because I am pro-choice. I have never had to make that heartbreaking decision.

It would be funny if it was not all so stark raving mad. I'm not exactly the paragon of mental health and sanity, but I have most assuredly been out-crazied!

Wow, interesting evening. I bet I can beat you on what I was called the other day. haha. If you had fun then that's all that matters. If they don't matter tomorrow, don't let what they say effect you in any way. In one ear, out the other. I say if they piss you off, they deserve a good heave ho in the nuts. =D
 
I am at the library right now......my internet at home has slowed down to the point of driving me to the edge of pulling out my hair. (We went over our bandwidth allotment thing)
So.....I hobbled my way into the library very uncomfortably :D
Yesterday, I was having this great day- went to a coffee shop, logged onto BL was in a generally good mood and an hour or so later I was just walking along and my weak ankles gave me a tumble and I had to go to the ER b/c I couldn't stand on it AT ALL.
So, I have a sprained ankle, in a brace, a hyper extended wrist from bracing myself and a messed up knee cap- Sucks. I took a pic of my funky foot and will post it in the photo thread I think :D
 
Aww im sorry Ocean. I hope it heals up soon. I kinda fucked mine up saturday night as well cause i turned it out abit somewhere along the way but no biggie.

No bumps to the head, my doctor noticed it, but didn't make much of it, but my eyes feel foggy when this happens.

As for meds, I'm on Cymbalta, Lamictal, Geodon, Klonopin, and Atarax. It's odd, I've never had it before I took the Cymbalta and Lamictal.

I'm sure you'll be laughing about it in no time, once the whole WTF?! aspect has worn off :D

I hope it heals quickly <3 When it's healed, can you get some physio exercises to strengthen your ankles up??
 
Oh my goodness ocean! Ouch! I hope that you'll be up and going again soon, but ankle injuries are so miserable. At least you have a happy hubby to take care of you!

Mari-- Ugh. I'm all about people having differing opinions, but why is it that so many people are fundamentally incapable of expressing their opinions without being douches? Sorry to hear that you had to deal with some crazy, but at least you got a bit of a story out of it.

Mariposa, that person sounds like my ex and his family. I refuse to talk politics anymore because it's either 2 opposing sides not willing to really listen to the other side, or 2 same sides ranting about the other side. I'm just not into that, I guess. Too much stress for me.

I swear sometimes having bipolar feels like waiting for that tidal wave to come and destroy everything good you've tried so hard to do. I've had a coupla bad days in the past few weeks and I'm just like fuck, this better not happen. I don't need an episode.
 
Ocean, just walking home from the library or were you up to your cat burglar antics again? We all get to a certain age where we have to take scaling walls and doing back flips off buildings a little more slowly and always remember to stretch first.

Well either way hope your ankle is better soon.
