Is High Fructose Corn Syrup a non polar solvent?

From what I have gathered, the nasties in Morning Glory seeds can be removed with a non polar solvent. This is great, because I like to tripp every 2 weeks. However, I don't want to be put at risk of dying from gangrene.

I have no olive oil/vegetable oil, but is maple syrup a non polar solvent? Will it removed the nasties? I haven't tripped in a week and a few days, and I really want to tripp with a friend.

So please bluelight, reduce my harm by preventing gangrene. :D

No, syrup will not help you. HFCS is fructose (a polar molecule), dissolved in water (a polar solvent).

Thanks!! :)

EDIT: I looked at the ingredients and realized syrup's 2nd most used ingredient is... dur dur durrr, water.

How embarrassing...

not to disturb you too much, but non-polar solvents like olive oil will only remove the vegetable fats from the seeds, which are not proven to cause any nausea. it is the naturally-occurring glycosides that you have to worry about, and those are generally polar just like your alkaloids. if the group attached to the sugar is large and non-polar, then it might get removed by the defatting step but there is very little documented research on this.

according to the internets, the 'nasties' in morning glories are still largely unknown. the fact that some people can just chew the seeds and have a good time and others will still vomit after spending six hours on a complicated multi-step extraction makes it even more confusing.

A very informative post, as to be expected from greenmeanies. Thank you much. So how often would you say it is safe to tripp without risk of gangrene?

i'm not sure if there is any 'risk of gangrene' from common recreational doses of LSA.

i'm pretty sure that LSA itself is one of the main vasoconstricting compounds, and might even be solely responsible for the cold extremities and uncomfortable chest that some people report.

have there been any documented hospitalizations from a reasonable dose of LSA-containing seeds?

if you're worried about it, have a sober friend do periodic examinations of your hands, feet, blood pressure etc to ensure you're not turning blue or blowing a heart valve. but beyond that i don't think there's too much you can really do.

like any other trip, you should be taking these in high doses no more than twice a month, with preferably more time in between. also i know most drugs hit harder on an empty stomach, but consider eating nutritious food along with the seeds so your body has enough sugar, protein, and vitamins to sustain you for a long journey.

Very well put. I guess I will consider waiting one more week, and reducing my dosage from 845 seeds [CWE] to 420 [<3].
