Quick lifestory:)
I havent used mdma since around February where I binged quite hard.
On average id say weekly I had quite a high tolerance(This started October the previous year) would consume 10-20 pills/caps a night. Before this I used monthly...maybe twice or gave it an extra months rest depending on what djs/producers were playing;)

Feb-A few weeks ago: Ive been dropping research chemicals like candy to try and chase an mdma like high due to mdma drought in australia:( sadface, also in large amounts till it got to the point where I can take 1gram of bk-mdma and i 'roll' for an hour maybe two if im lucky and im back to normal...

So Im on a long period of abstinence now and considering taking St Johns Wart, Inositol in an attempt to try and upregulate my serotonin receptors that I think are permanently down regulated.

Are there any other compounds/nootropics I should look at taking? What do people think of these?

Im also taking piracetam + choline and have just ordered some vinpocetine + will start training muay thai again for the physical workout.

You're right, that was an awfully quick (and very selective) life story, heh. :)

Downregulation is by its nature impermanent. You will eventually return to normal, but it's hard to say whether trying to spur that process along will ultimately help or harm you. I think it's safe to say that you need to step back a bit from the lifestyle, not just physically but psychologically. Even if you return your brain to "normal", it won't do much to change your desires or expectations -- those can only be restored by a long, honest break from thinking about drug use, in my opinion.

That said, inositol is fine, and piracetam won't hurt you either. I'd shy away from SJW simply because we don't understand it very well -- it's hard to say whether it'll help or harm you. I would avoid vinpocetine, as it's been implicated with causing depression by reducing your brain's ability to store dopamine. Reference: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11478921

Physical exercise is a must, so I'm glad you have that covered. :)

Congratulations to you for deciding to turn your habit around. I wish you the best of luck. :)

That article was interesting:) even though i dont fully understand it I get the jist of it
should add another reason why i was got the vinpocetine was because of my hearing... tinnitus due to my ears getting blasted regularly and it was only $10 from ebay... so theres no drama if i dont use it.
