Hey my name is Shawn and I rolled 26 days ago for the first time. I took two pills at EDC in Los Angeles and came down terribly. This is the only time I've ever taken the drug. I had the buzz for the next two days and then felt fine. I think I had a panic attack last Wednesday because my head felt fuzzy, and my legs were weak. I was taken to the ER for treatment of dehydration and heat exhaustion. Blood work came back fine. Since a week ago, i feel disconnected from my body, dizzy, and disoriented. I've only gotten sleep the last couple days but before that, I had some terrible bouts of insomnia. Has anyone ever had this happen to them??? I need your help! Is there anything that I can do to help myself? Any feed back would be great. Thanks.

Without really knowing what you took then the only safe advice would be - rest, sleep and multivitamins. Blood work coming back as 'fine' can be a good thing and also a bad thing. Good because you dont have any toxins in your system - bad because the pills you took contained no toxins (speed, mdma etc) and with that were probably adulterated.

Real MDMA pills would normally have after effects that last no more than a few days - anything after that gives the indication of adulterated pills.

Thanks for your feedback. I really would like to know if you know anyone who has had any of these symptoms and how they treated them and if they went away.

You aren't feeling symptoms of withdrawal, because there really is none with MDMA. Your mind can make you do a lot of things, especially if you convince yourself that something is wrong.

Your body cannot handle mdma.

Trust me I developed seratonin syndrome from rolling to much and had to deal with it for an entire year. WORST thing 2 happen to me. 2 pills?

Your body cannot handle I strongly suggest not using.

what was your experience with serotonin syndrome if you don't mind me asking?

You had serotonin syndrome for a year? I'm sorry, please start speaking the truth and stop misleading people who don't know you're wrong.

That was me months ago. I suffered from that for well over a year after countless nights and days of rolling. My doctor told me I had accumulated seratonin syndrome and had to take meds to get myself back to normal, and it took a long time.

It was the WORST thing to ever happen to me. if I were you id be extremely careful with mdma. It ruined my life for quite sometime.

My doctor informed me I had accumulated seratonin syndrome, after countless, countless amounts of rolling.

Please kindly go fuck yourself, because you are not a doctor, and have no clue how hard it was to deal with.

When was your hospital visit in relation to the last time you rolled?

I'm confused--I thought serotonin syndrome, if it doesn't kill you, only lasts for about a day. Can someone who knows more about this ailment step in?

Please do not spread misinformation. Serotonin syndrome involves a high temperature, delirium, and various flu-like symptoms. You did not have this for a year and what you describe in your post you linked is nothing like that.

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/serotonin-syndrome/DS00860/DSECTION=symptoms <-- these are the symptoms of serotonin syndrome. I had serotonin syndrome once for about three days and was nearly hospitalised. It's a very serious condition.

EDIT: and here's what google came up with for "accumulated serotonin syndrome" :

^Thank you, AylaV! So the OP is not a case of serotonin syndrome. I am not sure how ecstasy could be causing such problems so long after it was taken. Sjuri23, have you had any illnesses before or around the time these problems developed? It's hardly likely that you are dehydrated/heat exhausted due to rolling/partying several weeks ago, especially if you weren't that way right after the rave. Typically the crash from rolling happens anywhere from 1-3 days afterward, not weeks.

I mean, he is sort of spreading stuff that isn't true, but he could have seen a doctor when he had serotonin syndrome. That's the only option there really could be. He may have felt off because of his excessive use of ecstasy, but he definitely didn't have serotonin syndrome for a year. It is drug induced, so he could only have it within a small timeframe after he took it.

this is all pretty helpful. i felt bad initially when i came down, had a pretty bad come down and have been pretty normal in the weeks after. I was just wondering if this fogginess that im experiencing has been a common experience for anyone else due to mdma. I am not saying that my mdma use 3 weeks ago is the cause of this fogginess, I am trying to find the cause for it because my doctors haven't told me anything concrete as to why I am feeling this way. I really do appreciate the feedback from everyone.

It's completely possible your cognitive function hasn't yet returned to normal from doing MDMA about a month ago (although this is rare). You couldn't be having any sort of physical withdrawal from MDMA, but the fogginess can linger for quite awhile -- especially for heavy users. I'd keep yourself hydrated and get some rest, maybe try some vitamins. This can help improve your overall health and might improve your cognitive functioning to some degree. I'm sure it will go away within a little while, but be sure to mention any cloudiness you may be having to your doctor if this persists.

My post was entirely in reference to the original post in this thread. I'm not sure if the other forum member had serotonin syndrome at any point, but I am not making claims that he/she did not.
