I rented a whole bunch of films from Blockbuster, and this was one of the ones I picked up at random. Well, not exactly random. I like Kristen Stewart and I remembered liking the look of the trailer so...

I need to stop watching films based on recommendation from this thread. :D

Watched Oldboy the other night, having downloaded it weeks ago. I say 'watched' it... I had to switch off about a third of the way through.

Started off with a promising concept of someone being held captive for years for an unspecified reason... until it turned into the usual far-eastern obsession with torture and submission. Yawn.

You clearly just have shit taste in films Tambo. First Mesrine was over-rated and now Oldboy, which is an absolute classic and has one of the best fight scenes in a film ever, is boring. Sex & the City 2 for you next I think.

I'm going to see Inception on Wednesday and I can't fucking wait. Haven't been this excited about seeing a film in a long time. %)
 
How could you even follow what was going on whilst on Ket? I get confused about who, what and where I am on the stuff in my own bedroom, can't imagine how you could make any sense of a film in the cinema.
 
Well i kept that dose quite low and it allowed me to look at this film much more in-depth. Although some parts of the film are pretty drawn out, i would highly recommend watching it, on ket or just plain sober.

Wow, I remember seeing that many years ago. Don't remember how it ends, but the NSFW animation was a fun trip down memory lane.

For more cheesy 80's `horror`, April Fool's Day (1986) comes to mind.

Maybe I missed something, but I didn't think Inception was anything special.

Just watched The Descent. Pretty good, but the claustrophobic parts were more disturbing to me than the creatures.

Agreed it was a brilliant film - When it first started I was thinking this is very ket like, I knew somebody on here would have been to see the wonky version :D.
