Can you explain why you think that? You've already shown several times that you havn't the wit to grasp my point. What's going on in your mind? Is it still telling you that I am saying "kill all policemen"?
 
Agreed, it is beyond belief how you can justify the killing of one member of an organisation because of failing by others. Finding 'comfort' in the murder of innocent people is quite insane. The police are messed up in many ways but they also do a lot of good, none of which gets reported of course. Because of a couple of high profile media cases you now think that all policemen are cunts and deserve to be shot? You seemed like an intelligent guy before but clearly not.

One of the most surprising things about this thread is all the people spewing out tabloid bullshit about drugs like steroids..."taking steroids makes you like insane dude..." 8)

No wonder non-drug users believed the sun on mephedrone when you have actual drug users believing it about steroids.

I think that's my problem with your position Inso - you call killing someone and then lying about it a "failing". You really don't give a toss do you - the police could kill another 50 people and it wouldn't make any difference to you would it.

I think getting away with murder and lying about it is a tiny bit more than a "failing". I guess that's where we differ.

A "failing of others" is someone not putting the top back on the ketchup bottle.

'Steroids' includes a wider range of different drugs with different strengths, effects and side effects. Side effects vary from person to person and from drug to drug.

It is quite possible that excessive steroid abuse CAN make you a bit crazy and fucked up. Not everyone on steroids goes on a killing spree but it can be a factor for a few people that do.

Of course its a failing, its a failing of morality by individual policemen and the institution as a whole. There are certain cunts there who would deliberately cover up a killing by the police. The situations you mention are abhorrent and the people involved should be held accountable for their actions. My problem with YOUR position is the fact that the killing of another completely unconnected policeman many months later somehow makes you feel better about what happened before. That's a ridiculous and terrible thing to say and you're never going to get away from that. You don't 'give a toss' that a guy was murdered in cold blood by Raul Moat, somehow this guy's life has less value than the people involved in the cases you mention. Justify that?!

He won't. Because he's either:

a. A genuinely unpleasant person with no sense of logic
b. A troll who bangs out trawl-net posts to drag people into mindless and circular debates

I can never be arsed to figure out which, but I'd put money on the latter.

You can have a three-post discussion with Issy before it becomes obvious that you've 'won'. The rest is just going round in ever-more tighter circles of strawmen and non-sequiturs that, frankly, you just have to take with a pinch of salt. Bit like having a debate with Forrest Gump.


Cue posts about the logic and mindlessness of the Police...
 
Yeah to begin I thought this thread was just an elaborate trollfest by Ismene, but as its gone on it seems he does actually believe what he is posting. Or I could be wrong and Ismene is cackling wildly at his keyboard knowing that he's played god with the internet.
 
Perhaps Ismene just has a serious problem with the police and lacks whatever it takes in his mind to separate the individual from the group. Trolling and nastiness are not the only possible explanations. Maybe he enjoys playing devil's advocate. Maybe he's a bit thick.
 
^ I just listened to that earlier. My facebook has been full of distasteful puns from my mates back home in Newcastle.

He took a taxi from Newcastle to Rothbury and it 'cost a lorra muney like' and asked the police if he could talk to Moat. Saying he wanted to say...

''All I wanna say is like, ya kna, why diven't ye put the gun away, I says looka Moatey...''

I feel sorry for Gazza, his heeds away with the alcohol fairies for good now.

There was going to be no nice outcome to the past week, but I draw the line at wishing death on a human being just because he killed someone. We're not living in the bible!
 
Yeah that was a bit harsh, we don't know his history or what led up to it. Don't know why I said it really... :\
