A lot of people here know me for my drug adverse reactions, over the years the majority of my threads here have been about my attempts to find a pain medication my body can actually tolerate without landing me in the Emergency Room.
The challenging factor here is in fact my disability which is a neurological condition known as "Autonomic Dyfunction" so any substance that stimulates my Autonomic nervous system causes issues, most severe ones being opiates, analgesics and stimulants. Even a single Panadene Forte, or Tramadol is enough to cause a major disruption in my vitals resulting in respiratory depression, hyperthermia, muscle spams, high blood pressure, bradycardia, irregular heart, confusion, headaches and a visit to the Emergency Room.
Despite trialling every opiate out there and experiencing issues with all of them I recently decided to move onto Cannabis in an attempt to manage my severe daily pain. I found Cannabis to be very effective on my pain and with minimal adverse effects, granted that I don't overdo it.
So now I am able to practice my human right to be pain free except that I am going against the law to achieve it, but I feel that with my current unique situation I have every right to it and anyone who tries to deny me that right is discriminating against me and my disability because they are failing to recognize my unique situation that does not allow me other forms of pain relief because I unlike others out there do not have the luxury of trialling other legal options. But what do you guys think ? Do I have a case if I ever get busted ?
