"You can spend, minutes, hours, days, weeks or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could've, would've happened - or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the fuck on."

"Why am I fighting to live,
If I am just living to fight
Why am I trying to see.
When there aint nothing in sight
Why am I trying to give,
When no one gives me a try
Why am I dying to live,
If I am just living to die?"

To be or not to be– that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And, by opposing, end them. To die, to sleep
No more – and by a sleep to say we end
The heartache and the thousand natural shocks
....
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,

-Hamlet Act 3 Part 1

Hamlet considers ending all of his suffering upon seeing his dead father...Conscience, that thing of being aware of oneself what is right and what is wrong...Hamlet is debating within himself as to weather it's better in the long run to suffer through the turmoil of this said existence, or to 'take up arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing end them' IE. arms meaning a weapon of some sort for the act of ending one's life and suffering...Hamlet sooths himself in saying that death is no more then an eternal slumber upon which one never wakes again...To 'end to heartache and the thousand natural shocks'...To not face death that end by our own hands? Hamlet begs the question: Why do those who suffer not take the task of death upon themselves and end the life of misery dealt to them instead of 'bearing those ills we have'...Self-Slaughter isn't a new concept, and within this famous quote in Hamlet, its exemplified to perfection...

It changes. Now...

Once more odious courtesies were began, the first handed the knife across K. to the second, who handed it across K. back again to the first. K. now perceived clearly that he was supposed to seize the knife himself, as it traveled from hand to hand above him, and plunge it into his own breast. But he did not do so, he merely turned his head, which was still free to move, and gazed around him. He could not completely rise to the occasion, he could not relieve the officials of all their tasks; the responsibility for this last failure of his lay with him who had left him the remnant of strength necessary for the deed. His glance fell on the top story of the house adjoining the quarry. With a flicker as of a light going up, the casements of a window there suddenly flew open; a human figure, faint and insubstantial at that distance and that height, leaned abruptly far forward and stretched both arms still farther. Who was it? A friend? A good man? Someone who sympathized? Someone who wanted to help? Was it one person only? Or was it mankind?

-Kafka-

Hannah, that is an excellent analysis. I was drilled on that passage and only now do I fully understand.

My quote for today (unknown source via my dad): illegitimus non carborundum. It's Latin for "don't let the bastards grind you down" :)

When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all. - God from Futurama

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.- Mark Twain

That's when you know you've found somebody special. When you can just shut the fuck up for a minute and comfortably enjoy the silence. -Mia from Pulp Fiction

so I guess I'll remain the same

"Religion has convinced people that there’s an invisible man…living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn’t want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer and burn and scream until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you and he needs money."
George Carlin
