Do you crave psychs?

I haven't done any psychs yet, but have ordered some san pedro.

I'm curious, are they something you crave after you've tried them?

MDMA and opiates are on my mind 24/7...(and sex)....

I've always wondered why I am able to use psychs sparingly and spaced out, but yet I over abuse opiates.

The weird part to me is the fact that all decent clasic psychs and mdma are way better than opiates.

The only reason I could think of for not craving psychs is maybe the fact that the high/trip is so well rounded and complete that once your high wears off your left completely satisfied with the experience you just went through.

The psychedelic experience has always stayed with me long after taking any. I could almost make myself trip just by concentrating depending on how long it's been since my last dose. And sometimes I'm really really in the mood to trip but I wouldnt say that I crave psychedelics.

I have been known to. Mainly if I haven't taken any for a while. They certainly aren't addictive in any way remotely comparable to the way opiates, benzos, coke, speed, etc can be. Except ketamine which is. It's possible to develop a psychological addiction to anything but is extremely rare with psyches. As was nicely said above, the psychedelic experience is a "thing" in and of itself - it has a beginning, a middle and an end after which you will be happy to let it fade and enjoy the reintegration stage. Some people even feel satisfied with one good psychedelic experience and never need to repeat it. Most like to go explore other aspects of it though.

I used to do, but it passed after a year or two of psychedelic use (sometimes frequent, sometimes intermittent).

Sometimes I get a feeling that a trip could do me good but I don't experience compulsive urges to see fractals or "open up" or stuff like that (like I used to). Tripping has become something partly separate from my basal emotional drives.

I have a suspicion that my more frequent cannabis use lately has allowed me to project the craving on that rather than psychs - which is good because I now have a more relaxed stance toward psychedelics, and bad because I smoke more cannabis and have made it integral to my psychology to some degree.

Straight after a psychedelic experience I find it is generally the only drug class that I'm satisfied with after using. After taking anything, including weed, I ALWAYS want more. But after these experiences I am satisfied and happy to reflect on the experience, however I would never wish it to be my last. I don't crave, I just long for the beautiful psychedelic experience again.

It's not uncommon for people who are predisposed to substance abuse to crave substances - including psychedelics. Overall it seems the incidence of craving for psychedelics is considerably less common that in is for stimulants/alcohol/opiates etc.

Having said that I've kinda craved psychedelics myself at times.

The secret or answer lies in why you crave rather than what you crave IMO.

I'm satisfied with my past experiences but after a good amount of time of not using psychedelics I do feel the wanting to take them.

A crave is a good word, I love my LSD.

But if you meditate, eat healthy and do yoga I believe you won't crave psychedelics as much. Overtime if you don't make changes and incorporate what you "learned" then you will lose the feeling and feel like you forgot the message.

That's just me of course, my subjective feelings on psychedelics.

And craving any drug can be a sign of something else, you suffer so you crave. Try eating no processed food and cook healthy stuff. You'll feel happier naturally and even happier after a good LSD IMO.

At this point in my life I am really into psychs. I wouldn't say it is a "craving", but I think about them pretty often and try to learn as much about them as I can. I am always reading up on ones that I know little or nothing about. I guess you could call it more of a hobby though.

No, I take LSD every now and then. I got a 10 strip last month and I've been dosing about once a week. Its not something I have trouble not thinking about. When the perfect chance to trip comes around I dose, but when the time isn't right I just leave it alone. I can only get LSD a few months out of the year so I take it when it's around but its not hard to go half a year without thinking about it.

when i first tried psychs and had a decent stash i would use them all the time. i have taken a long break now but have recently been wanting to trip but i don't think i will until i actually plan it out.

^ This pretty much. Dissociatives, aka Ketamine, DXM, PCP etc can be addictive, Deliriants probably can too. Psychedelics themselves are not addictive but it is an experience you will really enjoy and most likely want to experience again. However, unlike other drugs you wont feel bad about waiting a while for your next trip.

I don't crave them as such, but I do crave the combination of them with nitrous! I've had some of my best (and worst/scariest as well) experiences with psychedelics and nos. But nos is like that, even when you have a diffficult trip off it, if you have some left you'll finish them

Well said, I agree. Psychedelics are my favourite drugs, but they are such an experience that I usually don't feel like doing them again too soon afterwards. Especially those that last at least as long as lsd. I find it's like when I get back from holiday I don't want to go away again straight away, I want to just be comfortable at home for a while :)

all quoted for truth.
this is how i feel on the matter too

The insights I've gained and the concepts I've been opened to whilst on psychedelics (especially LSD) are pretty consistently on my mind, and when I'm bored I like to think about and attempt to recreate some of the more interesting closed and open eyed visual effects I've experienced. But I don't feel any significant push to re-dose with any regularity if that's what you're asking. When I get hold of a psychedelic I generally don't have trouble holding on to it for a few weeks or a couple months until the right moment arises, unlike weed which tends to call to me every day before bed. Though I've never really had trouble limiting my MDMA/MDA/bkMDMA intake either, so it may be slightly different for you. I certainly doubt it's going to be something that you crave on a regular basis though.

In my honest opinion this depends on what you decide to consider a psychedelic. I believe MDMA is technically classified as a psych. and yeah you'll crave MDMA lol. also it depends on the definition of crave. If an addiction is craving then yeah there are some that can do this like K, (see above posts). if craving just means you want it, not have to have it, then very few will do that. Though I must say I crave LSD sometimes.

One thing ive learned in my time tripping is that psyches dont just magically produce fun and good times the way MDMA or opiates do. For example, right now writing this post would I have more fun if I were rolling or nodding? Of course, but not so much if I were just sitting here tripping.

I dont see psyches as getting high really, I see them as just another version of real life in which a lot of crazy shit it going on. The experiences are usually difficult at some point or another and the potential for things to go bad is way more present that with other drugs. I wouldnt say I crave them alone, I crave a good time on psyches, but that takes planning and time etc.
