from tianeptine.com: Tianeptine prevents overstimulation of AMPA

from http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17929164:

piracetam, a positive modulator of AMPA-sensitive glutamate receptors

doesn't this mean they work in contradiction?

also, is piracetam ok to take with an SNRI?

yes, I know tianeptine is an SSRE, this is just a second question if anyone knows.

Well, Piracetam makes me sucidal.

Tianeptine, on the other hand, is one of the few anti-depressants that work for me - and it does so instantly.

Seeing that Ketamine also makes a fantastic anti-depressant, I wouldn't be surprised if AMPA-activity is the hidden link.

I thought tianeptine and piracetam went well together. Wouldn't mix it with an SNRI though, haven't tried that but tianeptine plus reboxetine was yucky.

I've taken Tianeptine countless times and at high doses while addicted to Tramadol (SNRI). Not sure if this is just an exception.

why do you think it makes you suicidal?

I have had perhaps mild depression from it but need it for memory because law school is killing me.

you mean don't mix tianeptine with an SNRI or dont mix piracetam with an SNRI?

do you think I am harming my brain by taking these two things together? (tianeptine and piracetam)

very doubtful, but why even take the chance considering the utter uselessness of piracetam. Do you honestly feel you get any positive effects from piracetam?

I dont think Ive ever heard anyone gush about this piracetam. Ive tried it-at best I maybe get the tiniest mood boost, but these effects could EASILY be placebo.

actually I think the piracetam has made my memory more clear. It's easier to think of a word. also I think it goes great with phenibut. I don't personally think it is placebo, but the effects are subtle.

piracetam has been kinda bringing me down lately - not sure if it is because I am combining it with tianeptine. is there anything else I can take for my shot memory thanks to MDMA?

I remember a few years ago at a house party where people were rolling, there was this one guy (probably one of those goons who uses Wikipedia as his surrogate brain for regurgitating copypasta on drug forums without having done any research at all really) with a vat of piracetam, handing out lines of it for people to snort while they were rolling to "bring up their roll."

I didn't want to burst their fun bubble, so I said nothing, but come on...

Most people need like 1.6-3.2g of piracetam (Oral ROA) to even 'feel anything.'

That's a mighty mean line of white powder to snort.

Piracetam may cause suicidal tendencies in those with agitated depression. In fact it's worsen agitated depression symptoms in dose as low as 400mg.

I'd be interested in looking at literature if you have any links to that. Not that I doubt what you're saying, I'm just very curious.

ALL of the 'racetam drugs that I tried (Piracetam, Oxiracetam, Nefiracetam) make me VERY depressed if I take them for more than 3 days in a row, and provide absolutely no cognitive boost. I wouldn't take them if you paid me.
