The Big Bang - the ultimate level

Regardless of the psychedelics I try, let it be mushrooms or LSD, if I take a considerate amount (for example: 6 fresh mexican mushrooms), when I peak I always go to the same place... the beginning and end of it all: the big bang!its is like it never really stopped happening; we are experiencing it right now as we live.
It is very hard to explain this experience by words because it is all about feeling and not structured thinking (racional). I also tend to have this kind of telepathy with the people that are with me... it is not real telepathy, it is like me and the others are the same person having the same thoughts... its is like sharing the same thoughts! The feeling of purpose and of knowledge about the world and how everything is connected (we are all the same thing) feels my soul... the first time I got to that state, I was 21 years old (7 years ago) and it changed my life forever and how I perceived reality and the people around me.
It wasn't easy at first, since this cruel world proved to be much of a shock to my new believes... but I also didn't turn into those "zen" guys that thing that living passively with the birds and shit is the cool way to live! i still have some faith in this daying culture/society in live upon. I just live my normal life (as a senior consultant in the IT industry by the way), and just try to show people that is "ok" to be whoever who really are and to show love for everything that is, because "you/me/the others) is the only thing that really exists.

Nevertheless, I see many people experiecing psychedelics and only get to the "fun part" state of the drug: the mixing of senses, visual effects, laughing non stop, etc.

I was wondering, how many of you have had this kind of experience? I was wondering how many people out there really know "the truth" ;)

first rule of time travel club
you do not talk about time travel club

does it take a strong mind to see the universe
or one as open as a child's?

just remember you always know where the wind comes from
but can never say where it's going next :)

sorry, just a little blazed and contact swirly
cuz my friends all dropped WoW blotters

I don't profess to know the entirety of the Truth, but I have been fortunate enough to see glimpses of it.

  • The planet can be considered a whole organism if you consider that it is made out of individual components which are themselves "life"
  • This organism distributes itself, yet maintains connections between individuals (which behave as cells) by what we call "communication"
  • Your body is one of these cells, as is mine
    • Every living body really is part of the same organism.
  • You are not your body (this one seems so obvious in retrospect)
  • The conscious observer which forms the being that you will eventually come to know as your true self (which I understand to be the real meaning behind the word "soul") is an emergent phenomenon which arises from connections between neurons
  • This soul can influence the behaviour of the mind and body
  • Humans (viewed externally) exhibit immensely complex behaviour, far beyond that capable by an individual neuron or other cell
  • Insect colonies also exhibit complex behaviour, far beyond that capable by an individual ant
    • Perhaps insect colonies experience a form of proto-consciousness?
    • Perhaps planetary biospheres experience a form of proto-consciousness?
  • The Universe and its contents are functionally identical
  • We are in the Universe, thus, we are the Universe
  • We experience the Universe, thus, we are the Universe experiencing itself subjectively.
  • Culture is a double-edged sword - it ensures a familiar thread between people, but also self-perpetuates and spreads incorrect and often harmful ideas
  • Greater culture-consumption results in less culture-creativity

After that, it gets weird. I'm still trying to piece together a trip I had back in December, where what I saw was well beyond my understanding at the time. The more I process the information, the more I understand.

does it take a strong mind to see the universe
or one as open as a child's?

One must harden one's mind in order to maintain a "rope back to reality" for when it is needed. However, one must also leave one's mind fully open to all possibilities, all aspects of the Truth, regardless of how unfamiliar or seemingly absurd the idea. The ideal state of mind for a psychonaut is one of selective hardening. The ideal psychonaut sheds the ego when necessary, but maintains his/her mind's integrity. Rationality is not thrown to the wind, but set down on the table (perhaps under a paperweight) to be picked up once it is again necessary.

i don't really believe that (5% chance maybe?) but yeah.... anywho

now THAT would be a brave new world i can get on board with-- government that doesn't care who or what its citizens ingest, dance, or fuck? sign me up!

Yes good sir, I too have been there and have experienced the collective consciousness. Like you I've continued to live my life by today's standard of "normality," though I am much more accepting of others' beliefs (provided they aren't dismissive of mine), and find myself much more aware of and open to the world around me, not only to other people and animals, but to plants and other organisms as well. In addition I find myself to be more aware of sounds, patterns, colors, shapes, and other visual and auditory aesthetics, my sense of smell also seems to have been greatly abetted, as well as my appreciation for life and nature. I also no longer fear death, not that I was particularly afraid of it before I tapped into the collective, but now that I've experienced the unbelievable unconditional love of what I believe to be the afterlife, I feel no more apprehension. My beliefs could be wrong, as could anyone's, but, ultimately, I'm comfortable and quite happy with them, and, as short as life is, that's all that really matters as I see it. /rant.

Alright I have a question for the OP and Raw Evil.

So you come to all those amazing realizations, but what changes? I mean what makes your insight any more true or false then someone who thinks god created the universe in 7 days?

This isn't really a flame, just coming from a guy who mounted all those incredible psychedelic induced realizations until I realized they really counted for nothing. OK, so I know we are all connected, so what? I put my pants on one leg at a time just like any other guy.

Been through this whole path of seeking, looking for someone who can explain to me what I'm missing...

Wow, almost missed this reply! :) Glad I randomly searched my old posts for some reason.

What changes? Everything, and nothing. It's exactly the same kind of change as the one one undergoes on their first psychedelic experience. It's a bit like the Zen proverb:
Zen Proverb said:
Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water
Everything you know changes because everything you know is relative to your perspective, and your perspective shifts. Yet, nothing outside yourself has changed at all. I know this isn't a very useful piece of information, but it's the only way I've found that in some minimally-accurate way communicates my understanding of it. Don't for a moment think any realisation could ever count for nothing. Every piece of knowledge you gather changes your perspective slightly. It could mean everything alongside some other idea that you discover later in life.

Exactly.

These realizations give you perspective, which in turn is up-to you weather to act upon them or not. For example; you realize we are all 'one', through this realization you can choose to treat people better knowing that they are truly not separate from you.

People expect a sudden radical change to magically occur, i know i did initially. But ultimately it's up-to you, your the only one who can change anything in your life, psychedelics are just the tools.

4-ho-mipt + IM ketamine launched me back to the Big Bang...

10 minutes after injecting the ketamine, it was like a hydrogen bomb detonated over our house... my 2 companions & I instantly fused & merged on all levels... and off we went!

It was the only experience I've had where I KNEW that I had died for real this time, and was not coming back... and I was completely OK with that.

I remember 'zooming' back to the Source at incredible lightspeed... witnessing all the Lives throughout history - human animal plant & other - as individual bubbles or pods... billions of these 'soul-pods' were embedded in large umbilicus cord-like structures that stretched all the way back...

When we arrived at the Source, we were invited in to participate in the Creation... and birthed the purest Art from the purest womb of Love... <3

I distrust ketamine by itself, but someday I may have another go with K + quality tryptamine... because that was a truly unprecedented experience 8o

It depends on ur background and upbringing. On psychedelics I always get the same multiple dimensions / time travel / futuristic observation feelings. Hard to explain, but it's extremely positive and hopeful but reality comes back with a crash. Those with a religious background may see heaven + hell. I've always been interested in what ppl experience, whether it's just the way the brain behaves when it's neurons connections are f*cked up, or whether it's something else. Mild trips of course are just visual transformations and that giggly / everythings weird feeling, but the true psychonauts seem to experience the same kinda thing each time. Something like the "white light" in near death experiences? Just brain patterns throwing u around or something else?

Hope you know what I'm getting at!
