What's your latest thang?

Aww thanks for that Joannie <3 No worries at all :)

My latest thang? After moving house late last year and having over 30 shopping bags full of bills/statements etc that I had to shred and throw out, I'm now a scanning + shredding mad woman, on a mission to create a paperless household!

That actually sounds like a bloody good idea!

IT WAS YOU!!!!!!!!!

On topic. My latest thang is planning my trip to Europe. We bought tickets last night, so now we just have to keep on saving and learn the simple basics of a few languages. Fun fun fun!!!

Yeah but still, aren't they killed in pretty horriffic ways?

unless you are buying organic from small little farms all the meat you eat is killed pretty horrifically too. If you drink milk you also support the veal industry which is rather cruel. Any real animal lover who was agaisnt animal cruely wouldnt eat meat.

"meet your meat" on utube - watch it and see for yourself :)

My thang?

hmmm since posting on BL... i'm not into anything new really. I think i am the same person in what i'm into like doofs and the clothes i wear and the music i like but i guess i havnt changed significantly spiritually wise. I'm a pretty different person headspace wise but not so much in what i'm into cos i think i have found my passion and niche in life :)

^ That is a great idea Jo! Make sure to back up ;)

A lot has changed since I first logged on to bluelight!

My latest thang is budgeting. It’s freaking me out how much money I used spend on crap, I do miss crap but am thankful to see the light at the end of my debt tunnel.

I desperately want to go to uni and will do anything it takes to get there, 5 years ago I had no idea what I wanted to do yet alone desperately want to do it. I also would not be seen dead in the plurry rave gear I used to wear. And I’m more into legal drugs (alcohol & cigarettes) than illegal drugs, even though I know they will be worse for me in the long run!

Now that the weather cooled we have started to build a fire out the back on the weekends. We have a futon/sofa that we lie on in the backyard, put on some tunes and just sit under the stars and watch the flames flicker. The kids loved toasting marshmellows Saturday night as well.

Also we have a new super tunnel in Brissie now, so we jumped in the car and went on a subterranian, under the river, expedition on the weekend while the toll is free (like the rest of the city has done in the past week).

Not that I wasn't ever not into alcohol and cigarettes but they're also mostly all I do nowadays. It wasn't even really a conscious decision, I just can't be arsed with drugs much anymore.

Yeah i am very much the same. The only time Will and i get around to getting wasted with drugs is if we go doofing, which is only 2 or 3 times a year now days. Otherwise it's alcohol, ciggs and the odd joint.

I wasn't trying to slag you off at all, merely referring to my understanding that animals for meat + leather are killed quite quickly, knife to the throat styles

Actually I believe they get a bolt gun to the head. It's more animal's lives than their deaths I worry about. My dad keeps some pigs and looks after them well and then has them butchered, I feel better about eating that meat than any other. Some people have told me they think that's super creepy though.

I'd prefer to eat animal meat products from a micro-farm raised animal over some mass produced meat, served up in a plastic tray, any day.

There is nothing creepy about that at all, the entire world has did that (and many others still do) for hundreds of years.

I'd eat meat still if it was a run around chasing something down that has a chance to escape kind of deal. I'm just opposed to the enslavement of entire genetic lines for consumption.

I also think extrememly overweight people should have to catch their food.

I have become quite the drug snob since I joined BL, which has given me clarity of mind. I used to do nearly any drug as long as it was a controlled substance. Now I only dose with specific opiates and psychedelics. I am comfortable with my use of chemicals and am no longer harmed by them.

I bought a house, and am now actually building a life for myself instead of travelling aimlessly around the country. I will be back in class soon, studying clinical psychology. My dream has always been to become a doctor - not to work, only to prove to myself that I can do it.

Since I first started looking at these forums and now. I finished school, got a job moved around, got fucked on the drugs ended up homeless and very ill went to rehab got outta rehab relapsed and moved back in with my parents which is what my "thang" is lately kind of back to where I started jobless and living at my parents again. I think I was 15-16 when I started looking at bluelight didn't sign up for ages cause I was too afraid to post hence having so few posts in the last 4 years. Also having been so unstable moving around alot. Bluelight and erowid has saved my life numerous times with the knowledge it has given me through all that shit.

^ I'm glad BL has offered you so much. Check out more of the posts such as in TDS and a few others, there are a lot of strong minded people on BL who offer good advice. I know that if you look, and you give some other peoples opinions a chance, you can find something to get you moving up and forward again.

All the best and I hope you can get yourself to the kind of situation that you want to be in.

I ate at Govindas little while ago. It was awesome. It was the middle of Summer though and there was no air conditioning in the theatre upstairs and I literally though I was going to die from heat exhaustion. The movie was also terrible but that was kind of funny as I and the girl I was with spent the whole movie laughing and ripping it off. I wouldn't have wanted to be someone else in the theatre they probably would have been hella pissed off.

Also, NO BOOZE, not even BYO! Silly Krishnas!

Eating out just isn't eating out without a few beers.

Yeah...
I concur-
we ate up the road first.

I don't really do a meal out unless there's drinking involved.

I did take a bottle of 'Secret Stone'
in for viewing pleasure, doe.

:)
