Mephedrone Megathread VIII: Hnnnng!

So mephedrone and cannabis will be in the same class if this goes through? How fucking ridiculous, no one on the planet considers those to have equal potential for harm.

The current classification system is such a joke it is stupid which ever class it goes in. Case in point does anyone here think GBL is less harmful than cannabis?

I picked up a 1g of shack n vac (cut mephedrone) this morning.

livens up a monday morning in work I tell ya.

I agree with acidliam ACMD have got to have been saving the 'Polly bomb' so they don't get dragged into Government sleaze.
Prof Nutt must be a very respected member of the Scientific community who got sacked by the Government for 'telling the truth' and now they want who ever is left to 'lie' for them.

Just watching the 'Breaking News' on BBC that Johnson hopes it will be made class B within weeks, and that customs are instructed to sieze and destroy any coming into the country.

I think the names M-Cat and Meow Meow are confusing the reporters, as the reporter just said 'being sold, often masquerading as pet food'

It also mentions "other synthetic" drugs will be covered in the ban, on BBC news, presumably that means beta-ketones etc, and possibly MDPV? Wonder if they'll actually be able to classify it before summer, or if it'll just be banned through some measure? Seems to suggest classification as a class B drug very soon....

Better stock up ehh mephheads, ha, pretty sure all the fiends already have. Personally I think the comparison with amphetamines is unfair, considering what a massive amount is known about speed compared to mephedrone, n generally how generally speed is less of a shit, dodgy and fiendish drug :p
 
Can't believe the cheek of Alan Johnson - He's doing his statement and he said 'I'd like to thank the ACMD for their advice on mephedrone and other cathinones. It is, afterall, their advice which comes first' - What a pile of shite - Jackie Smith wasn't saying that. PR chatter, to show they're now listening to the scientists, after the recent hubub.
 
Customs have indeed been ordered to destroy any shipments as of today, it seems.

I don't know how this is legal, seemingly we live in a totalitarian society all of a sudden.

Do you think customs will check carefully to see what they're seizing? Will they be able or willing to distinguish between m-cat and MDPV?

They'll just seize anything & everything, I reckon.
 
^ Maybe a bad thing for some, but eventually the start of something beautiful for the proper drug scene. Hopefully. Maybe? Fingers, toes and legs crossed.

It may take a while.

Of all the legal highs or RC's that could have a ban slapped on them, this is one I'm not bothered about it happening to.
