I have one of those cigarette bat pipes, they're pretty handy but your constantly getting ash in your mouth lol
 
i find holding a joint under a un-lit cigarette works well when you have to blaze in public. no one really takes time to realize that you aren't smoking a cig.
 
i have one of those cigarette pipes as well

they are convenient at times

but as Roose said you suck ash alot and they have to be cleaned regularly or that small tube/hole starts to clog with resin quickly

but i have used that one hitter stealthily (not a word) many times

used it when i was 40-50 feet away from a cop at the New Cowboys stadium
used it while i have been at many a family gathering
always bring it when i go on vacation
used it around campus
in bars

anyways point being, they're stealthy.
 
A dugout with a one hitter was my first real piece, unless you count the metal bowl I got in early highschool when glass pipes were rare and very expensive.

I think a one hitter is very useful for conserving your stash especially if you don't smoke that often to begin with. My dad's friend gave me a small amount of herb and it was ground up into a powder since he pushes his beautiful buds through a screen for some reason, and a one hitter works great for herb that's powder.

I've only smoked them at home alone, while at school outside, and at a party my friend had where pretty much everyone else that was there was just into drinking only and didn't smoke at all and I didn't know if some of the people there were going to be OK with me smoking so I used it then since I had it with me.

I've also smoked out of one in someone's car while they were driving. I have some friends that pretty much always smoke while they drive and they keep one in the car and smoke out of it then.

I randomly met a guy who I knew from the internet in a bar while I was on vacation and he said how he would sometimes smoke out of a one hitter in a bar or outside of a bar on the back outdoor patio area but this was back when you actually could smoke cigs in bars.

Yeah sucking in the ash is annoying but they're easy to clean with unbent paperclips, q-tips soaked in rubbing alcohol, and soaking the pipe in rubbing alcohol.

A smoking buddy of mine in HS had a very tiny magnetic pipe that was metal disconnected into two pieces and then connected via the magnets. He got it at a head shop and he wanted something that was very small and he could throw it away if he had to.

I also remember I once smoked a J in a friend's backyard and he doesn't smoke and I don't think he wanted me to do it at his house so I just bummed a cig off of his then GF and went outside and smoked the J and then lit the cig and puffed on it some.

I know people who take all or most of the tobacco out of a cigarette and then put herb in there and they'd smoke in public that way or they'd just smoke blunts in an environment where a lot of people were smoking tobacco.

This guy I knew in HS had one of those hi-lighter pipes that looks like a hi-lighter and you take off the back and unscrew it or something and the pipe is in there. I'm not sure if they actually work as a real highlighter and they probably do start to collect the smell of herb easily.

I've heard that apple pipes work very well and then you have something to eat! I've never smoked out of an apple.

When I was into smoking herb unless I was with a friend that was driving and who had some or the one time I smoked with my friend who drove around before class I really usually didn't smoke in public or in risky places like in class or at work and once I was in college I'd just smoke before class or smoke and cut class if I really didn't feel like going and I could miss one class.

i mean it isnt gonna be like taking a blunt to the face, but thats the whole point of one-hitters
 
A lot of my friends have dug outs but I've never invested in one mainly because their not my ideal smoking device. Had a great chillum for a long time that was super stealth (smoked it in public all the time, beach, out on the quad, in the city, etc.) but that's been lost for a while in my frat.

A well rolled joint gets the job done everytime. If it looks enough like a cig, no one will question you.
 
how stealthy is a joint

my hands and my body typically reak after a joint session

plus why waste a joints worth of high quality nug when all i need is 3-5hits

i smoke my one hitter in side lots and lots of places

bathrooms, bars, movies, sports venues, buildings on campus, library, the list goes on

yes reloading the one hitter sucks

but i still would say it is stealhty then smokin a J

i could smoke a cig to get rid of the smell but i dont smoke cigs

washing hands/ hand lotion doesnt quite do the trick

one of the main times i am tryin to smoke stealthily has been on road trips with people i am not comfortable knowing i smoke. being trapped in a small space there has to be next to NO smell

i made a vase-ish face bong that looked like one of my high school teachers in my ceramics class.... Our ceramics teacher prided herself on "always being able to find the hole, so don't bother trying to make any bongs".

but i made one

he has a huge nose and you pack the nugs up his nostrils and hit it out his head
ill put in a pic someday....when i go back to my parents house

my HS art teacher said pretty much the same thing

but he was most certainly no expert at finding holes ;)
 
My stealth device is the same as for my nicotine pleasures...a bent stem regular-sized corncob pipe. At home I just stuff some pot into a pipe. For going out with a one-hit backup I just carry an appropriate sized piece of pot in a pill holder and drop it onto some tobacco at the appropriate time. For extended evenings out I'll take 2 identical pipes, one preloaded with pot and the other tobacco. If someone isn't staring at you continuously it's easy to switch in the pot pipe for the tobacco pipe for an occasional hit. If the law approaches, knocking the dottle from one's pipe is not a criminal act, or if necessary the tossing of the whole pipe will cost just a few dollars. I enjoy all the glass, chrome, brass, wood, etc. devices for their cunning, but in my eye they aren't stealthy - they mostly look odd and attention getting. Real stealth is doing it in plain sight and not being comprehended. Nothing homelier than a corncob pipe. Buy a 1 ft x 1 ft section of brass screening from the hardware store from which to cut filters...it will last 20 years. I carry a quarter in my hand on these occasions and when I've lit and hit I cap the pipe with the quarter to snuff the bud.

And the wide variety of scented pipe tobaccos available - Cherry, Captain Black, etc - can be utilized for covering aromas. Bear in mind that the aromatics have been soaked in sugars, liquers, etc. to get that aroma and the downside is that they smoke hot. So smoke them lightly - short and occasional puffs - or they will burn your mouth. But most people like an occasional whiff of an aromatic pipe tobacco and won't hesitate to remark about it...I've been told about how "that smell/pipe reminds me of my grandfather" more times than I can recall. It's nice to get my pleasure in a way that gives a different pleasure to others.


I've been using this method since I was 20. More than 40 years ago. Always works.

So here my stealthy way- class ends end - ninja stroll back to my house (about 2 min XD) have a cone ninja back to next class no ones the wiser.
