these are my first two heheh, oh man im in love, i have 2 miniture rose bushes and a perfume rose(very aromatic) inside as well, im actually anxious to winterize them, this summer, and attempt two divisions on the Nobile Dendrobium, and repotting+root pruning the Phalean. then trimming the grow spike and cane back. im also very anxious to put my fertilizer mix on them during that time also and seeing how they react.
besides all that jazz, what orchids seem to depend on the most is an arid but moist grow medium, and a large night/day temp change, like 15-20 to make them flower hard. set them back a bit from a west facing window with shaded light and water/spritss when the showing roots turn silver/grey.
what kinds lights does she use diffused spread 600w metal halide? does she use a hydroponic or aeroponic system?

mine have made some substantial growth, and the ND smells delicious occasionally, like a powdery daisy - cream - vanilla/caramel - faint daisy/spice.
i want to order a chocolate one, but i have something specific in mind, hybridized for this one shop inparticular; 3 16" flowers, 2 to 3 times a year.. hell yeah.

it realy is a zenful thing; the apreciation and value of patience and time, the fragility and balance in life, the water that flows pure creating life, the nutrients that feed their origins and thier impact on its life, all gathered from caves the ocean and our land, the bone, blood, feathers, and shat of sea birds and bats. you provide the most adiquit surrounding atmosphere and its elements, that have a great effect on its life are in your hands: air, light, and darkness, cold and warmth. its medium, where it lay, are also gathered from our forsts, caves, miles into the earth, swamps, prehistoric bogs.
these plants take years to grow from seed, and as i said some are clones or divisions made from recently selectivly chosen orchids in rainforests and jungles all over the world. its just amazing.
yeah, worth the money hahah. ill try and post a pic soon of the one i want to order on line, it will only have the cane, and or growth spike, but its short 8"'s(?), and has yellows, reds, orange, green, and black copper tones, kinda like some beatles you may of seen. the flowers though, they are up to 16"! lol it would or they would haha have to be up on a stand so the petal stretches could hang! that sucker blooms 2-3 times a year, and is $30 i believe, and it would live for many many years as long as you were attentive.
the fertilizer mix i made works excellently and still hasnt burnt any petals/leafs, you can buy orchid ferts, but they are expensive concentrates, and this combo woulkd last you a damn long time, like 2 years feading 3-5 orchids. ill pm you that if you want

nah remeber not everyone thinks the same things look good that you do. plastic surgery is only really an improvement if the person was disfugure in an accident. if its just superficial it often looks not so great after

glo- i know a girl who got a nose job, i didn't see the point, she was happy with it. However, I'm not sure what it's like with the people you know / where you live - but it sure opens a door to get trashed on if you get any plastic surgery. People, as we all know, can be real dicks.

they are so gorgeous... im sure she loves it, i can stare at mine for good lengths of time heheh.we just got matching tobacco plants awwwerz, im very surprised, they are bad ass looking, and potent according to the guy at the hydro store; be careful he said. they smell amazing, and the leafs are 1/4 the size they should be i imagine, but they are very resonous/oily. yikes. i dont plan on smoking any...
