Adulterated cannabis

I think this is what my mate calls gravy weed.

There is some weed getting around the Gold Coast at the moment that is dark brown has a kind of a sandy feel to it and smokes like everyone has mentioned here, leaving an ashy residue in the cone piece almost every time.

Was talking to a mate today about it and he said it is laced with GRAVY POWDER, on closer inspection of the weed and the brown powdery residue in the bottom of the bag i now think it is either gravy powder or some sort of beef stock.

There was a fair bit of powder at the bottom of a bag so i had a taste of it.

It Tastes salty and kind of like beef.

Disolved in water the turns the it murky and smells like gravy.

And has the consitincy of beef stock or gravy powder.

Potassium? that doesnt make sense at all. I would say with the increased popularity and awareness of synthetic cannabinoids, that atleast a few growers and importers are lacing there stuff.

BTW ive been trying snow capping and have found that the best method is to mull JWH-018 with kief and then cap it with regular mix.

Ive heard of this crackling weed thing from friends and can say that id stay away from it! There are some horrible strains and mixers going around at the moment.. tis a shame for the people that have to put up with it. Just remember that dealers are in it for the money!

Not at all. I have been told by many people trips contain chemicals you get from under your sink.

And yes, people here in adelaide do believe its been dipped in potassium.

the old flyspray myth again .... only this time it's potassium ... always something new and exciting on the bullshit round table to pick up and imbibe if you feel the need to be special ... ;) ...

theres a lesson there .... don't believe everything you hear .... especially when it comes to drugs ...
there is always some twat trying to sound important by spreading bollocks about what is and isn't in certain drugs doing the rounds ...

favourite myth with weed is flyspray, favourite myth with LSD when I was younger was speed 8) ... favourite myth with E's was Cocaine ...

I mean seriously ... Good LSD (because it is active in such small quantities) can really never be cut/adulterated by common household chemicals or speed 8) because first and foremost you would be more then likely able to see it (esp on a Tab)... LSD in my experience is never adulterated by a common chemical... (although there are the DOx type chems around they are not common)... if anything it just won't actually be LSD ... it will be another chemical altogether (although anytime I have come across LSD thats exactly what it has been and nothing else) ... just my opinion %)

Potassium is a metal, one that has to be stored under oil to prevent oxidation, and the often explosive reaction that occurs on contact with moisture. Place a cut piece in water and it reacts very violently, often spitting and crackling as it catches fire. Group 1a metals all react in a similar way, although out of lithium, sodium and potassium, potassium is the most reactive. Anyone know why?

I suppose many of you younger BLers would have never come across it at school. Back in my day, such demonstrations were commonplace in HS chem classes, although due to the dangers associated with such demonstrations it's little wonder kids today don't get to see such cool things. I had a HS teacher who had lost an eye demonstrating the effects of lithium in water, as a piece flew off and hit him right in the eye. Yet he still got a buzz out of doing these demonstrations.

For those who haven't seen it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFG4Yr7lQzw

As for weed being laced with it...I'm afraid it's just another "where do they get this shit from" story.

We got to do this in grade 10 chem, as far as I can remember the metal oxidises with the water thus letting off the hydrogen, if the reaction is violent enough the heat produced can ignite the hydrogen. With some of the slower reacting metals our teacher would drop a match to make the hydrogen POP!

initially, i thought you were bulshitting... but something rang true.

Here in Sydney around christmas time usually supply dries up and quality drops, recently a point of discussion between friends was this unburnable crappy weed obtained from the usual source.

The nugs were hard, dry and brownish and it wouldn't burn properly, joints would always go out, cones would leave black ash that wouldn't pull thru... they called it asbestos weed as a joke. I just thought it was crappily cured product and thought nothing more of it, since I only had a little vaped and it tasted okay and got me stoned.

After reading your post I tasted the last of some of the asbestos weed i had left over - a brown, evil looking, heavy hard nug - it was very, very salty so I i dropped the nasty thing in a glass of water, and the water turned brown. the bottom of the glass filled with brown gooey gravy sludge! The actually bud was much smaller than it looked once all the brown goo came off - and it was actually green underneath.

disgusting! I wouldn't have believed it myself, until i saw it with my own eyes.

things have improved lately tho, thank goodness!

Bought a 50 of this "gravy weed" not completely sure if it's the same as mentioned, but this stuff literally looks like it's been berried in dirt.

Although when you rub the buds, a very fine powder ends up on your hands.Smokes very harsh, and is also impossible the pull an average size cone also a shitty high aswell, it rwally pisses me off seein cunts do this to weed:!:X

Edit: Forgot to mention the chop was completely black, there was noo green in it what so ever. I have never seen weed this bad in my life

That last stuff was all green, looked completely normal but if you looked close you could notice those shards I was talking about.

No chards in these buds, just pure dirty shit:p

Weird weeed

Mods ---> CD / Aus drug discussion

Hey folks,

SWIM recently acquired some weed (Melbourne area). This weed is hard to smoke - it does not burn well, it does not pull through a cone piece well either, massive amounts of pulling are required. Smoking this bud in a joint is impossible, it just does not burn well enough.

After burning, a very hard lump of ash is left, whether in bong or joint. I thought this thread http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=483439) was the same stuff I have but its not oily, does not crackle or sizzle or anything.

Whats wrong with my weed?!? Do I just need to dry it out more?

Thanks in advance <3
