Anyone ever tripped around their pets?

What is it like? Do you connect with them on an entirely new level or anything? How do they look physically while you're tripping?

I am in no way saying give your pet LSD... so please don't turn this thread in that direction.

I've been around 2 cats on Ecstasy and I think one of them on LSD (can't remember). They weren't my cats though, both times I was on E they purred when I pet them and I don't know if i was high but they seemed to know something was up, as if they either saw my eyes dialated or heard a different inflection in my voice possibly. Other than that their behavior was pretty normal , but WOW did they feel so soft.

Yeah, they feel soft, and you somehow start to pick up pets vibes and emotions.

Also on 2C-E I saw my dog cry, I was like "what the hell dogs don't cry" and then just proceeded to pet him nicely so he won't cry anymore.

Yeah, I love the vibes cats have. Their fur seems to come off in auras, and it reminds me of this painter (Louis Wain) who was a schizophrenic and painted cats, they get much more intense as time goes on, until they are almost mandalas of cats, check it out if you haven't yet. It isn't exactly the same, but that is the closest I have seen that describes what they look like to me.

And, I fucking love my cat especially when I'm tripping.

I've tripped around both cats and dogs many times. There is always something to be learned. The last time I tripped around my dogs, my dogs were surprised to learn that I had tapped into their language. I could read them like a book. It was like I tuned into the animal side of myself that we are often very disconnected from and was able to understand everything about them. They speak in a number of ways including sounds, actions, simple auric vibrations and in other more descriptive ways. It was hilarious when my dog realized that she could no longer hide her intentions from me the last time I was on mushrooms. That and I was able to speak to her so effectively just by using my eyes and sending thoughts through my aura. It was amazing. Other times when I am tripping cats seem to respond well. Often I find that cats love to be around me while tripping, and they some how manage to fall asleep on top on my chest while I am laying down. They love to peer into my eyes as if they can see into my soul, and its comforting for them. I especially love cats, but dogs have their place too. 2CI makes the fur coats of dogs come alive in a fourth dimensional way that is really interesting.

its amazing. because psychedelics put you on the animals level. and it feels like youre back in nature like its supposed to be.

at least thats what i felt with my kitttty

when im high i feel like i know my dog on a much more personal level. people get amazed because me and my dog can "speak" to each other a little bit but its all based on understanding.

My dog and I have definitely connected during one of my first mushroom trips. I rolled around on the floor playing with him for quite awhile.

My roommate has a ball python snake and she definitely seems to know what's good when we're tripping. She'll dance along side her cage, almost as if she's putting on a show. But the greatest part is handling her while on acid. Having a snake crawl all the way up your arm or wrap herself around your wrist is an incredible sensation.

I reckon our doggees can sense whenst we are high and they seem to be calmer ~ perhaps thats just my drug influenced persspective though !!<3<3

Not my pets but my friends cat seemed even more cuddly when the barrier was dissolved (5-MeO-MiPT).

Rats, though, seemed relentlessly mechanic and menacing little buggers (mushrooms).

I've been known to play with caterpillars when I'm on mushrooms and try to get them to smoke hookah.

^Slugs are great trip companions; so patient. I recently carried a few around my shoulders whilst on acid/2C-D. I don't know what their thoughts were, but the slimeyness was good. Spiders are interesting to observe too- they seem less afraid when I am tripping, and will happily creep about on me, clean themselves whilst in my hand, have a snooze on me head....etc.

My dog though- he's down with it man. He knows whats what and he's happy to be my trip sitter/licker/great-furry-beast-friend. Of course, he loves the tickling and stroking which I go well overboard wth when psychedelic. His fur, ncdentally, is actually flurescent, which s odd as he normally appears jet black and HUGE (he's a male rottweiler)...

I love playing with my bunny when im tripping. I really feel like she knows because she seems a bit more alert than normal, maybe she is surprised to see me on a different "wavelength" than normal. Woohoo for tripping with animals :) I would love to trip in the woods with a few dogs to play with

^ You just made come up with an unrealistic goal but one that I would love to do before I die. I want to trip with a capuchin monkey or some other relatively small primate. I wonder how in tune I would feel with a monkey tripping.

My dog-friend often seems to have no bones when I'm tripping; he's so sleek for a big guy, like dogshaped liquid. Its amazing how good their physcal prowess is, compared to our own. Henry (my dog) always beats me at our game, which s me trying to steal "his sacred rope-thing" and him utterly not allowing it. He moves this guys does.
