Opiates as a superior anxiolytic

have you ever been an excessive abuser of amphetamines?

I was wondering the same thing. Because amphetamines are probably the worst thing you can take for anxiety unless this is treating an addiction to amps. then yes i can see them alleviating anxiety. Well maybe social anxiety could be alleviated by amps.

Amphetamines help my anxiety also...but it's not for everyone as adderall calms me down and can cause others to be anxious.

I also agree with bupe being a good anti anxiety med even at lower doses than 4-8mg. I take 0.1-0.4mg for pain at it is definitely a great anxiolytic.

Hopefully science and gov't get advanced enough soon so they bring us a good opiate or opiate related anxiolytic soon.

are you possibly confusing ADHD with anxiety?

i am adhd and focalin (Ritalin) puts me to sleep. but i have friends who take it to get amped. they think i am weird cause it knocks me out in high doses and makes me a zombie in low doses. Adderall just makes me feel spaced out.

I do also sometimes experience anxiety, but when i am having an anxiety attack amps are the worst thing for me. I have valium for when i get anxiety/panic attacks.

I'm prone to anxiety, although it is more generalised than social, and I find lisdexamphatamine (vyvanse) to be remarkably anxiety-free even compared against d-amp. I have never tried dexedrine SR spansules so I cannot compare the two, but maybe ask for Vyvanse? Also, it's CIII so a doc would probably more likely to script it than adderall XR or something like that.

And shikidala, take this with a grain of salt, but I wouldn't go for ritalin, I've witnessed it give non-anxious individuals some decent anxiety attacks.
