So even though this website is using this information out of context and as a scare tactic it is correct (I'm only talking about the bit on LSD though)

I think context is really important when talking about drugs/chemicals. I mean if you don't put your dosage in context any chemical substance can be portrayed as a deadly poison. I remember reading about these who tried to make of some sort of authorities by tipping them off about the dangers of water (they used a more formal name of course).

i would say this site offers info about what drugs can do to you all together (this includes bad side effects)... but people ask these questions looking for answers, its not like the mods on here don't do drugs ha, Plus, its better to know what they can do to you right? I mean we're gonna do drugs regardless of how bad they are for you, so it doesn't hurt to know... just makes you a little more cautious

I actually did know this about acid (one of my friends was obsessed with Albert Hoffman) but i was referring to the incorrect context. All of the other information has a ton of flaws, but the LSD info is in the completely wrong context and is misleading about the effect. it's not necessarily incorrect.

i suppose it's better to know what they do, but this site is misleading about their effects seeing as it only notes the negative effects. if they had said "LSD is an amazing experience but it has the small possibility of 'all these effects' and may fuck you up. take with caution" it would have been alright.

If you are going to do drugs regardless then this doesn't matter, but most people are a bit hesitant to do drugs for their first time (i sure have been. i've been planning to take acid and other hallucinogens since early last year but haven't yet. it took me just about as long to make the decision to smoke marijuana the first time).

Because of that hesitation, this site's purpose is to push it over the edge to scare people into not wanting to take the drugs. it's extremely misleading, and even if the people end up doing the drugs, they will have a worse experience because of the misrepresented information.

there's nothing good about this site for people without knowledge, but for people like us here on bluelight it's fucking hilarious.

however the misleading of the rest of the world, and parents using this site to scare the shit out of their kids about drugs is not worth a few lol's.

LSD is not ergot fungus. The quote says "LSD is manufactured from a fungus that grows on rye and other grains and is one of the most potent chemicals and poisonous substances on Earth." It's not out of context, it's just wrong. That's like saying that salt is poisonous because it's made from sodium and chlorine. If they had said something like "LSD is manufactured from a fungus that grows on rye and other grains which is one of the most potent chemicals and poisonous substances on Earth." then that would make sense.

there are stupid mistakes throughout. they have "hydromophone" listed as a street name for demerol and "candy" as a brand name for benzos. a common antidepressant of abuse is "nembutal."
