seizures on rc's

Has anybody had experience with somebody they know or even themselves have having a seizure while tripping on any rc or psychedelic?? I had one when i mixed quite a bit of 2ct2 with 4 street x pills and i flipped out where my friends had to duck tape my legs cause i went to lala land after i started coming through and it was nuts. Now recently a gf and i ate an unknown dose of doi with shitty street x pills (they were red pistols) ..
we didnt feel much off the x pills and decided to eat the doi cubes we had and the trip was alright except for one fat dude who ate 2 cubes and we had to kick him out for acting stupid then next thing i know when our house is calm and i am talking to my gf in the living room she flops off the bed onto some coffee and an ash tray butt ass naked floundering breathing heavy with her eyes rolling around in her head and her jaw clenching as well as having way too much saliva and fluids just pumping out her clenched jaw for somebody who was on the drugs we were on...

I knew we had somebody sleeping in the back who knew cpr so i figured as long as shes breathing i dont have to get her up and call 911 so i was slapping the love of my lifes cheeks trying to get her to come back through as she was jerking all over the floor... i finally got her to come through and breathe normal while getting back on the bed... her tounge was all bit up from clenching her jaw and she was very confused and disoriented... she said she had the worst visions of her life... i can imagine because i have been there mixing rc's...

I have advice for anybody mixing drugs .. just be careful and especially with rc's as they seem to not mix well with certain stimulant, ssri and maoi drugs and its not fun watching somebody you love having a seizure out of nowhere while tripping.
 
MAOI drugs + stims/psyches is almost always a very bad idea. Many psyches can lower the seizure threshold, I believe, so combining them with street speed/pills (or even pharm grade) is rarely a good idea. SSRIs tend to reduce psychedelic effects rather than spin them out of control though.

From memory 2C-T-x has some MAOI activity which would certainly account for those seizures. DOI + street X is less clear - I would expect an uncomfortable trip but not necessarily seizures. I wouldn't be too shocked if seizures were the result though cos that's a hell of a lot of stimulation going on - especially if the pills were dirty. Glad you're all okay now but I guess you learned the hard way that it really does pay to research drug interactions before trying them :\

ive had a friend have a seizure on mushrooms twice. He was on no ther drugs.

Psychedelics are just known to lower the threshold for seizures.

sorry to hear about the incident with your gf. that must have been real scary.

A couple weeks ago i fainted from standing up too quick and having my blood pressure drop (i wasnt on any drugs, just pot i think, but did use mephedrone a day or two before hand).
I just fell forward into a wall and as soon as my head smacked the wall i regained consciousness. It scared the shit out of my gf though.
 
Ya thats scarry when you see the love of your life dying in front of you while tripping... needless to say i am not feeding her rc's anymore... or atleast i am watching what i give her because she did love 2ce and wants to try this 2ci i have. i surely wont let her go all out like that again.. i have a tolerance to many of substances through dealing with them quite often..
 
Just be careful with mixing drugs.

The seizure may have been due to the shitty e pills mixed with DOI. Mybe the pills had pipes in them, and i dont know what the interactions between piperazines and psychedlic amphetamines are but maybe that was the cause.
 
I've also had a friend have a seizure from just mushrooms. I've had a pretty fucked up experience mixing Mephedrone + 2ce myself. No seizures just a really fucked up scary trip with some weird ass visions also.
 
Generally I have found so called Research Chemicals to be quite benign. I''m talking about the somewhat longer known TIHKAL and PIHKAL substances - psychedelics, not the brand-new stimulant ones and stuff.
Less benign than natural psychedelics in a physical way as some of them can produce a synthetic feeling and significant peripheral effects, but still.

2C-T-x combined with MDMA (i.e. those pills) is contraindicated, so you should stay away from using them together. So if you ask me that has little to do with the question if Research Chemicals have a tendency to produce seizures or other nastiness. I consider the point of this thread defeated, but this can be a place for people to share their adverse reactions with Research Chemicals for a bit. :)
 
The alkylthiol 2C's (aka the 2C-T-X drugs) could be MAO inhibitors, so you definitely shouldn't mix them with monoamine releasers like MDMA-- it could result in serotonin syndrome, which is sometimes deadly.
 
on the topic of seizures, if youve been addicted to benzos but got off them, do you need to worry about psychedelics causing siezures? does you siezure threshold remain elevated after the acute phase of benzo withdrawal and if so, how long? anyone have experience?
 
^The seizure threshold will be lowered until your brain is able to fully re-equilibrate. However, the acute phase is certainly the most critical in terms of avoiding other drugs that can further lower the seizure threshold (e.g. caffeine, amphetamines, etc.). The length of the recovery period depends on both dose and duration of use, but waiting until all withdrawl symptoms fully dissapate is probably the safest strategy...mentally and physically.
 
A friend of mine had a seizure on 6mg of DOM a couple weeks ago. No other drugs were involved. He had never had a seizure before.
 
Seeing people seize up on MDMA seems to be pretty common these days. I would avoid mixing anything with MDMA that could affect monoamines. Hell just avoid MDMA period because the quality has been steadily decreasing, even for molly or 'pure' MDMA, the shit is still so poorly synthed it will not find its way to my synapses anytime soon.
 
I saw about 5 MDMA-related seizures happen in the span of 3 hours at a festival this summer. :( It shook me up proper; this one girl in particular, I was sure she was going to die right in front of me. She was completely white and seizing so badly :( :(; really a horrible thing to see, especially with a head full of acid.

I think it was probably that they expected their molly was badly cut, when in fact it was actually quite pure and strong (some of the molly going around was surprisingly pure and put me on my ass). They probably just ate way more than they should have.

To my knowledge, everyone ended up being okay though. :)

Seems to me these days that people are using MDMA in doses that it is just not meant to be used in.

People who go through more than 1/2 gram in a night are just asking for it IMO. I've read reports of people using a whole gram in a night or multiple grams over a weekend. I just can't conceive doses like that. I'd be in the first aid tent asking for benzos with a 1/4 gram.
