The Official Recommend New Tunes to People Thread

Ineffable Mysteries from Shpongleland!

Hey guys, since I know lot of music fans who also like psychedelics/MDMA are really into Shpongle/Simon Posford, so I decided to post these tracks from their new album that's being released at the beginning of november. Mods please don't merge this into the music recommendation thread! This is meant to be more of heads up for Shpongle fans!

Ineffable Mysteries from Shpongleland!

1. Electroplasm
2. Shpongolese Spoken Here
3. Nothing Is Something Worth Doing
4. Ineffable Mysteries
5. I am You
6. Invisible Man In A Fluorescent Suit
7. No Turn Unstoned
8. Walking Backwards Through the Cosmic Mirror

My favorite tracks are #6 and #8 (!). Although the whole album is insane. My I want to see them live. Goddamn place where I live and lack of electronic music fans! :!

Pre order it here:
http://www.twistedrecords.co.uk/shop/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=133

It's only $13!

Hopefully, they will be posting a digital release on www.twisteddownloads.com on the November 2nd. Although I've already order the CD release, I don't even have a CD player! I guess I can use my computer!

Im diggin your style as well!

recommendation:

For fans of glitch hop and the like, i suggest checking out Jantsen.
He doesnt have any actual releases out for sale other than Ready2Rage which he did with Bassnectar, but you can listen to his tunes (and ever download a bunch for free) on his myspace page!

I suggest checking him out asap!!!

good, good man <3

you need some more Dubstep though!

I suggest some Nero for upbeat dub (give this song a listen, it'll rock your world if it hasnt already)

and some Ramadanman for some chillout dub. Hes a lot like Benga

p.s. you also need more Deftones

how can you possibly live without a proper collection of The Deftones?!?!?!

yeah i actually have a lot of dubstep, but havent uploaded in a while. i need to make sure i have the space on my account, pretty sure i do, but theyve been "watching me" if you know what i mean.. LOL.

that nero song owns.. never heard it. Good deal

damn i cant get over how awesome that nero remix is.

and honestly i dont even like DJ Fresh or jump up DNB in general these days.

Any way you could zip up like.. 20 of your FAVORITE dubstep tunes for me?
So I can expand my empire of illegality? (LOL, just kidding.. but yeah the entire so cal rave scene uses that ftp, its pretty hilarious)

hahaha im glad you like it!
Id be more than happy to "recommend" 20 songs for you, just give me a little to go through my library and pick out my favs :P

Thats hilarious that the entire so cal rave scene uses that though, that must be why im seeing underground names that ive only seen on small rave flyers, haha!

haha yeah i run 4ravers.fm and ravelinks.com and a couple others, i love recommending music to people who listen to crap and should be hooked up with better music :)

are you in...cali? land of cows could refer to central cali i guess. I hope not fresno area... suuucks up there.

ha really? thats cool i never knew this! Maybe ill join the ravelinks forums, I tend to lurk there time to time.

And yes, Im in cali, but good god not fresno. I shudder at the thought of living in Fresno

Good techno

Where's a good site to get good techno?
Like any..

I'm sick of my DJ Caffeine, Italian Sensation, DJ Inphinity, Tiesto and stuff...
Getting old..

Any help, thank you(:

www.beatport.com <--- especially if you want to pay. There are others, but that is easy to find classics with the classics button, the top ten lists, the fact its in genres, the lists from other dj's.

Enjoy.

ps. Be carefull with the word techno around these parts, it's a scary word, that means a specific thing, and none of those artists (lol at wat etc. might mean) IMO are techno. If you are referring to techno = electronic dance music (EDM). Then you are mistaken in this part of BL, or anywhere were there a EDM enthusists. As you will find you might not like the stuff called 'techno' on beatport. Most likely trance/electro house/hard style may/will be more enjoyable to you.

You seem to be new to the EDM Genre, call it EDM (Electronic Dance Music) because that grabs everything, from Techno to Trance, House to DnB and Minimal too Psy! :)

Here are some Artist you may like!

check out

Armin Van Burren, Deadmau5, Paul Oakenfold, ATB, 4 strings, Sander Van Doorn, Menno De Jong, George Acosta, Above and Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Chemical Brothers, Crookers, DJ S3rl, Rabbit in the Moon, Paul Van Dyk, Richie hawtin, Dieselboy, ak1200, Astrix, and I dunno... just type in "Top 100 Djs" in Google. You'll get some nice ones, check uhm out!

Enjoy! :)

This guy is incredible. I heard the song "Tall Boy" last night on Jimmy Fallon, and it is the catchiest damn electronic/rock song I've heard in AGES.
