Hey after I germinate some seeds can I place them in the soil and put on a couple cfls on top? or after germinating just put it in the soil and wait till sprouts and then put the lights?

germination is the procces when seed breaks and sprouts. After it sprouts u put it into the soil and under a cfl light.water it too.Dont do anything stupid while the sprout is growin.Let it grow to about 5 inches and then you could fertilize it,put more light and so.I dont know lots about it but i growed tomatoes last summer in my house under a light.Went well so i probably could grow weed too.THe best thing is to make hydro system.bomb buds.

You COULD germinate them outside growing medium, but I wouldnt. You want the seeds who germinate themselves in the soil. Those are the hearty plants. The ones who built character, know what im saying?

You have to be cruel with pot. Germinate 40 seeds and keep the 5 best ones. KILL THE MUTANT

I have 4 seeds total 1 is ak-47 and the rest is supposed to be white widow but I dont think it is I just think it is some bomb regs. I dropped em cup full of water and waiting for them to germ. I am hoping i get Atleast one plant out of this. If all of em sprout i will be happy but idk. what you guys recommend am in eastern europe and I can't get the fox farm and the good soils what should i ask for at the soil shop? and I can start out with 2 cfls and add more as the plant matures right?? sorry if this does not make any sense am all benzoed up oh and edit as soon as i put the sprouted seeds into the soil hang the light on top right? or dont use light till it sprouts on its on or will it? This is a closet grow. Or can i just grow on a table in my room ?

I am an outdoor grover so sorry i sound like a noob.

Last time I planted outdoors I just poked a hole in the soil, dropped a seed in, and covered it up and watered it. It will germinate like that, I think its easier to do, but with the method you're talking about it allows you to know the seeds aren't duds.

Yeah this is my second indorr grow and first time with cfls i used mh and hps the first time but i cant get this anymore as where i am it is really really expensive.

no experience with cfl, but mh and hps you need to set your room up and slowly introduce them to the light (can be a little intense). start with your lights a bit higher and lower them over a couple days and then raise them as your babies grow. but with cfl you need the lights closer to the plant... usually people use cfl for clones, mh for veg and hps for bloom. you really should try and manage the mh/hps IMO... just think of your better yield!!

I know how good ml and hps are i grew serious dank with it but there is no way i can use it again. I am thinking starting with 1 cfl for the sprout and then adding more cfls as the mature. I was thinking of using blue and red cfls. Any more comments?

use cool white and warm white together for your spectrum... dont use colored ones. what wattage and size are you going to use? make sure you are keepig your light close to your plants once they settle in, because your lumens will drop off A LOT quicker than HID's

because your lumens will drop off A LOT quicker than HID's

What does that mean? and thanks am going to go with cool white and warm white as my spectrum idk about the watts But i am going to get the strongest the have at the store.

lumens are a measurement for a light. i think a lumen is equal to the light emitted by one candle one foot away on one square foot surface. lumens are also called foot candles. CFL bulbs have about 70 lumens per watt while HID's (high intensity discharge) have double that. that means your going to have to have more watts to get the same amount of light actually being used by the plant. Lumens given off by a bulb will dissipate the further they are from the plant (CFL need to be very close while MH and HPS can be feet away.

forgive me, i am no pro with light equations but you should get the highest watt CFL you can (probably a 200w - gives off about 15000 lumens)

also wanted to say again that a 600w HPS gives off near 90000 lumens

Both kinds of lamps will lose light, and passed three feet, even all those 90000 lumens will shrink to less than 10000

I dont know if i'm repeatin myself or even being help... really tired and high and its late...

:D

Yeah I kind of understand. I only have two questions so cfls will work ok right?? and i always germinated seeds by using the plate method this is the first time i just dropped em in water. Does this processes work as good?? I am going to get cool and warm white bulbs. I also heard blue and red were very good what do you think ?

dont use any colored bulb and stick to any regular daylight bulbs. not sure about the dropping them in water, i would have stuck with your plate method but hey whatever works will be fine. get as many CFL as you can if thats how your gonna go and remember its gonna suck having to keeo those things 3 or 4 inches away at all times

Hopefully it will work because the ak is from amsterdam and only have one seed and in the country I am seeds suck
