i'd take MDMA induced depression over MDMA induced HPPD anyday. Dont feel so sorry for yourselves. You made it out the other end not having to look at psuedo hallucinations and experience frequent dissociation all day.

I'm on klonopin because of HPPD and being dependent on klonopin or any other benzo is far worse than any SSRI dependency issue.

I think some of the posters did talk about their depression along with hallucinations and even borderline psychosis...

Yeah, really. It's not really possible to say if the psychosis and the former e abuse are correlated in any way. As I said, I've never read of that being a documented long term outcome. Some people will just become psychotic, whether they ever use e or not.

Then again, if MDMA abuse really can trigger psychosis even in a person not predisposed to it, that's all the more reason to go lightly on the stuff. The drugs used to treat long term psychosis only make life slightly more bearable -- it's not something you'd ever wish for.

i used to roll a lot back in the early 2000's. upwards of triple digits in pills per year. i stopped altogether for about 2 years and had a really tough time at first, fell into some harsher drugs to self-medicate (opiates and benzos) and finally realized what i was doing and stopped.

it took time but eventually i was baseline again then used psychedelics responsibly and found that my past experiences, negative and positive, were beneficial due to lessons learned.

there's no doubt i'm a different person today because of what i did back then, but no i've never taken anti-depressants. i used psychedelics to help find myself again but only after getting baseline from abstinence.

i absolutely despise SSRI's and the like.

guess im ass backwards?

i was on AD's BEFORE using... now im fine and dandy :)

im not an abuser (i use one pill med/high it dont matter) like those who use 10 or so in one night... at 20 a pop id rather use the money on weed and just chillaxe, maybe mix in some salvia to get some visuals going...

ive read all i can read about mdma and the stories people here share and understand the possibilities of abusing such a beautiful drug...

i have purchased about 50 about 6 months ago... currently i have 30 left... but thats with sharing with friends... ive taken about 7... my thinking is that may be too much already... so ive not used for almost 2 months... and still not depressed... not craving...

i dont take sleeping pills (ambien) or any other medications any more...

you only get one body... have fun with it but dont break it y'all...

hppd isn't psychosis. Neither is dissociation. I wish more people would read up on it.

^ I was referring to people who reported delusions of reference (hearing the TV talking directly to them), strange intrusive thoughts, and auditory hallucinations. That's psychosis, no two ways about it.
